Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent personal service. Complimentary pre-dinner drinks. Bedroom well looked after as was accompanying bathroom facilities. Management assiduous. Very good value for expenditure. We were driven to local areas of interest which was appreciated.

We stayed at The Dudley for three nights and it was heaven from start to to finish. Charles and Adrian have clearly spent time considering what every guest could want or need and then made it available. Charles’ breakfasts and beautifully balanced canapés were a highlight. If you’re seeking the perfect place to relax in quiet luxury, this is it. Very highly recommended.

Ultimate luxury getaway with every attention to detail and care about our experience. Thank-you Charles and Adrian for sharing the sophistication and ultimate comfort of this boutique accomodation. My wife and I have stayed at numerous boutique hotels around the world and this is one of the best. Charles and Dudley are clearly dedicated to setting an exceptional standard in every way. They really understand their craft and how to make guests feel very welcome. Beautiful presentation throughout with several delightful salons for relaxing and lots of interesting artwork, wonderful veranda and leafy outlook for afternoon tea and/or cocktails, delightful rooms with very comfortable beds and spotlessly clean, wonderful breakfast individually prepared, all located in the lovely village of Hepburn Springs. Couldn't be better!

Charles and Adrian are the perfect hosts, it starts from the moment you park the car. Adrian greeted us in the car park with his friendly smile. We booked the Dudley King Spa Studio, the room was clean, warm, cosy and absolutely beautifully decorated. Charles and Adrian have thought of everything to make sure one’s stay is memorable. What makes this place so special is the attention to detail. Let me explain, at breakfast I ordered decaffeinated coffee, the next day I found decaffeinated coffee capsules next to the coffee machine provided in the room. This is just one small example. I would definitely book the escape package. The wine, cheese and canapés brought to your room before heading out to dinner is a nice beginning to a great evening. Their concierge service to your booked restaurant is also another nice touch as Charles drops you off at the front door, no need to worry about parking. Breakfast was outstanding, locally sourced produce cooked and presented to perfection. I highly recommend The Dudley Hotel experience, we rarely ever return to the same place because we like to have different experiences but in this case we are definitely returning. Thank you Charles and Adrian for an amazing weekend. Look forward to returning soon.

Sophistication at its best! The Dudley Boutique Hotel was simply amazing in every way. We were warmly greeted by Charles and given a tour of the hotel. The lounge and library were lovely spaces, however we didn't get the chance to enjoy during our stay. We had a spa suite, which included a very comfy king bed, spa bathroom, gas log fire, and reverse split system (which was handy to warm the room before the log fire kicked in). There were robes and slippers available. We both thoroughly enjoyed the canapes and wine delivered to our room each evening, about an hour before being chauffeur driven to our choice of local restaurant. Breakfast .... I don't even know where to begin! Everything was fresh and delicious. I had the BEST French toast I have ever experienced! The hotel is located directly opposite Hepburn Bath House, and next door to Hepburn Brewing Co, so great position. We did lots of walks over our few days. All in all, Adrian and Charles are consummate hosts. They offered suggestions for local restaurants, art galleries, local sights, etc. We couldn't have asked for more. Thankyou for having us. We will definitely be back for more R&R.

Service is exceptional, from being met at the door by Charles and sorting things at reception and then showing us through the hotel, including all the latest technology they have incorporated , and then settling in the Dudley Heritage King room, we really felt at home and relaxed. A good size room, comfortable king bed and the bathroom was spacious and a great shower. The heritage look included quality furnishings, loved the paintings, and the colour scheme was well thought out and enhanced the look - great attention to detail. At breakfast we met Adrian, the other half of what we considered to be perfect hosts. Make sure you book " the full treatment" here as the breakfast is superb - the starters, including the daily bake which we looked forward to....coconut cake, bread & butter pudding, blueberry muffins, then to fresh fruit, and that is before the a la carte cooked meal choices - i had something different each day! Then of course pre dinner each night, enjoy canapes, wine, cheese and biscuits in the lounge or library and enjoy the warmth from the fire, and to make you totally relaxed be chauffer driven to your restaurant of choice and then picked up to return to the hotel. Outside of that within walking distance is the park, pavilion, various spring waters to try or have the full spa treatment at the bathhouse.....short drive into Daylesford for shopping, you can't go wrong! We loved our stay and will return - would recommend to all our friends.
