A weekend getaway to spoil my Uni student daughter. Our requirements - a lovely guest room, ambiance, comfort, a bar, restaurant, great service, and tranquil surroundings all within the same establishment. And that's exactly what you get at Hotel Bellinzona. Add beautiful gardens, and a nice pool (too cold weather for us to consider using it) and wonderful staff, what more could you want? This hotel is beautifully decorated with an art deco vibe, spotlessly clean, manicured gardens, and excellent staff. The Virgin Cafe/restaurant is so cute with lovely staff who provide terrific service. The lobby bar has a super friendly barman who always had a cheery hello. We stayed in room 210, the executive suite and it was perfect. We had a little hiccup with the hot water and staff were quick to help, sending the plumber promptly to fix the problem as well as provide temporary bathroom use whilst the issue was sorted. The management provided complimentary wine and breakfast to compensate for the inconvenience caused (which was not their fault, things happen). We appreciated the gesture and enjoyed it, thank you. The parking is either out back with somewhat steep stairs to navigate carrying bags but there is also Hotel Parking directly across the street. This would be a lovely place for a gathering/engagement / special birthday/conference/wedding etc. as it has all you need with a big function room and beautiful balcony for entertaining. Overall I would highly recommend staying here and will most definitely return.

My friend & I had 2 fun days & nights @!this lovely hotel. Nicole from reception was very welcoming & friendly & showed us around & even liked my jokes!!! Nepal was friendly & helpful too. Room was very comfortable & spacious , bed was great. Heating needed resetting from reception & the split system needs attention- motor was noisy when switched off . Fireplaces in foyer were a nice touch & good bar ! Enjoyed pool , spa & sauna❗️ Pool needs to be abit warmer in colder months…. Will return one day😉

What are the chances of getting a last minute cancelation in what would be the regions busiest weekend due to the Chillout festival. But a groveling email the day before saw the lovely Darren give me a call, literally the very second a room became available. So impressed. The hotel is really lovely, its been extensively renovated and is very much like a mountain lodge, and staying here in winter would be amazing. We had a suite, which is twice the size of their standard rooms and very spacious, no mini bar or anything like that so make sure you stock on some of the great local wines. Many thanks to Wendy and Darren for their exemplary service. Even noting when we walked in with wine and then a knock on the door 5 mins to supply wine glasses was a lovely touch and shows the staff are trained well beyond expectations. Would definitely return!

Stayed here for 2 nights with my partner in an Executive Suite. This place is brilliant, with beautiful grounds, a hotel that stylish, helpful staff and great food. We had 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners at the hotel and it was all delicious. You could tell that the hotel was short staffed (as is everyone it seems) but the staff kept on top of everything. they were excellent. The hotel has a indoor pool which we used. The only criticism we have for this hotel, and I guess this is more about the buildings old age, is access. The front stairs while not impossible, do require an effort when getting heavy bags into the hotel. To their credit, staff did offer to help bring the bags in. All in all this is a luxury hotel and really top class.

Cute little country retreat on the main road of Hepburn Springs. I was told it has just gone through a major refurbishment and I could tell. Carpet, fittings etc are all new. Checking in was easy with helpful and friendly staff and the hotel restaurant is fabulous. Definitely recommend

A well deserved trip to Hepburn for some R & R. The hotel interior is stunning and the executive room was spacious and luxurious with beautiful French door and windows that can be opened. Huge bath and top quality Hunter toiletries provided. The bed was so comfortable and the blinds plus drapes give full block out for a sleep in. The hotel is spotless and the staff were amazing particularly Wendy at concierge. The bar is beautiful and open from 3 for a drink either inside on the leather lounges or on an outdoor balcony table with the lovely view. I had the Rosemary Bees Knees cocktail which I recommend. The bar tender was fantastic. All day food menu was available from 7.30am and you can order drinks from that time also from the cafe and sit in beautifully appointed cade interior or alfresco tables outside. We dined in the cafe Sunday night for dinner and enjoyed the cheese platter and kingfish for starters and the rib dish, pork belly and chicken main meals. The cheesecake was lovely which we took back to the room. The dinner staff were professional and diligent. The pool area is great and looks out to the beautiful gardens. We spent a couple of hours there in both the pool and spa and there is a sauna also. We practically had the area to ourselves and it’s such a great way to unwind. Very seamless, peaceful, enjoyable and indulgent stay.

Checked into the Hotel to be greeted by Receptionsit Wendy, who obviously did not want to be there. Extremely unenthusiastic and just gave us a key and pointed in what direction to walk. Did not even bother to tell us about the facilities available. Room had nice decor, however the “spa bath” is not a spa bath at all. It’s a bath with broken spa jets. After checking into our room, we went back down to reception to ask the receptionist Wendy for recommendations for dinner as we had not been to Daylesford before. Not even bothering to look up from her computer screen, she mumbled one restaurant name, told us it was probably closed and then told us to try googling it. Before we could even reply, she picked up the phone and acted like we weren’t even there. Incredibly rude and so unhelpful. I would suggest to the manger to give her some more training or maybe evaluate the staff they have on front desk, as she is clearly not cut out for front reception. The hotel itself had beautiful decor but our experience was let down by front service.

Absolutely shocking. With government mandated Covid restrictions in place, not a mask to be seen on site. Not a single staff, nor guest. If they are cutting corners so boldly in the front of house, it only makes you wonder what corners they are cutting behind the scenes, even beyond Covid safe measures. For a highly priced boutique resort ($250-350 a night minimum), expectations are much higher. If you want to see the huge amount of sums dumped into this hotel renovation, get in quick before they file for bankruptcy within the next year. But BYO sanitizer.

5 friends and I had a recent stay at Hotel Bellinzona and I found it to not only look impressive on the outside, but when we walked in, the foyer was also very inviting with a classy and cozy feel. The staff was welcoming and accommodating and we were graciously shown to our rooms which were clean and well-appointed. The pool and spa area were welcomed as the weather was chilly. The spacious garden was well-manicured and would be a lovely place to be during the warmer months. No dinner was available to us on Monday and Tuesday nights, but they were happy for us to order in and eat in the cocktail bar area. Overall, I would highly recommend Hotel Bellinzona for your stay in Hepburn Springs.

Our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our Wintery get away for two nights in July. The Reception Staff were friendly and efficient. The refurbishment is totally amazing, if you have visited in the past, you will notice the difference. We found our rooms to be very comfortable, the beds and linen were of a high standard. The Bathrooms have been tastefully done. We enjoyed the Foyer area in comfortable leather chairs. Although, we were disappointed that the Restaurant was not open on a Monday or Tuesday evening we were more than welcome to bring our take away from Reubens ( across the road) to the foyer. The Pool, Sauna and Jacuzzi were clean, the jacuzzi warm and inviting. We enjoyed both breakfasts at the 'Virgin' cafe, downstairs, reasonably priced, clean and a lovely space to sit in. The grounds outside are beautifully maintained and would be lovely to sit in during Summer. We will certainly come back for another visit.
