Detailed Reviews
Beautifully situated in town right on lake Daylesford. Exceptionally clean and we loved the complementary local produce on arrival! The open fire (with lots of wood) was absolutely perfect as was the spa bath! Only suggestion would it would have been great if there was WiFi to allow access to Netflix or airplay to watch movies! Would however definitely recommend and stay again!

My partner took me away for the weekend and all she told me was it was by the lake, we drove down the road and their it was in a great quiet spot with a Coonara fireplace, great leather couch and a good sized kitchen down stairs with 2 bedrooms, bathroom with corner spa bath upstairs. The bed was very comfortable and the whole villa was spotlessly clean.
A great location and only 50mtrs to the lake, a good walk up the hill and the main street is only 500mtrs away.

After paying for two nights (in excess of $800), we decided to leave after the first night! Bed very uncomfortable, on wheels and moved every-time somebody moved. Dusty walls. Creeky floors. Wood burning fire, couldn't use. Internet connection so slow we couldn't even download a web page. Blinds useless as the sun rose. Blind cords so high up you need to stand on a chair to operate them. Frogs making a loud noise all night. Car port too small for a small car. Choose carefully as price does not reflect quality with this one!

My husband and I recently spent a night in the one bedroom suite after a last minute decision to drive to Daylesford after work one night.
We arrived after dark so didn't get to appreciate how lovely it was until we woke the next morning. The location and view is what really makes this place special; we took the walk along the garden path, through the farm gate and around the lake before breakfast - a gorgeous start to the day! It's probably a bit far for walking into town on a cold day though.
Unfortunately there were a couple of issues where the suite didn't quite reach luxury for us. The night we stayed was very cold and the heating does not reach the bedroom so we were uncomfortably cold in the evening. We hoped the spa would warm us but it took a lot of trial and error to get the hot water hot enough which was quite frustrating. Once we managed to fill it it was certainly perfect for two.
The bed was reasonably comfortable but not luxurious and I'd recommend bringing your own pillows. The suite was otherwise very clean but just missed the mark on luxury for us; I certainly wouldn't call it high end as other reviewers have suggested, but perhaps it comes down to personal opinion.
I would still recommend it for a night away, but go with realistic expectations and you'll be pretty happy.
The croaking frogs during the night are gorgeous; but if you're a light sleeper you'll need ear plugs.

Even through the mist and rain on our one wet day, the view of the lake was serene and lovely. The few passersby with their dogs did nothing to disturb our sense of peace. Centrally heated with an additional fireplace, the villa afforded a snug and warm refuge from the elements watched through panoramic windows.
Not all days were like that. We were there for four days and three nights. We had travelled from Sydney to see something of the autumn colours and we were not disappointed. Our villa, number 2 overlooked a small dam, a pretty little bridge and a path to the lake overhung with bronze, and yellow deciduous trees including a crimson japanese maple.
These villas are at the end of West St. You think that you have come to the end of the paved road when a narrow track peels off to the right. The villas are right at the end of this track. Once discovered, the route is easy.
Our villa was spotless, all facilities were present, and no problems were encountered.
We would have liked WiFi which is not on offer. It was explained that the unreliability of the services to that area was the reason for this omission.
The villa is quiet with only the bird calls to disturb and an occasional barking dog in the distance. It was great to wake to the dawn chorus!
There is much glass surrounding the living and sleeping areas but we did not feel overly exposed to those on the lake path. We were set back sufficiently to have a real sense of privacy. That is, except for the bathroom which also has panoramic views and within which we would frequently forget to draw down the blinds! Even so, there was only empty paddock and the dam to bare (sic) witness to our ablutions.
We would recommend these villas for a family. There are two upstairs bedrooms and plenty of room down stairs for entertaining.

We have just returned from a 2 night getaway to daylesford that we frequently visit for rest and relaxation. WE USE DAYGET!. To book this lovely spot. However pleasant the venue was we were very disappointed in our stay. Our first day after having massages and a great meal out. We returned to find NO HOT WATER available. No contact numbers were available except DAYGET who only are available 9-5 weed days. At 0900 we rang them we were directed over the phone to find fuse boxes and water heater switches. They were unaware of sed locations. @400$ per night only milk tea bags and coffee were provided. On our 2 night stay workmen occupied our parking space 4 vehicles to contend with 8-5PM . No info on WIFI connection.Upon returning our key to DAYGET they seemed fairly uninterested in our issues.

The one bedroom suite was a great escape from Melbourne before I head back to the heat of the Middle East for work.
This is a lovely villa, with modern facilities and an open design with a spa bath in the bedroom. The Owners provide a few extras in the kitchen (like olive oil, balsamic vinegar) that made life simpler.
I loved the fireplace and there was plenty of firewood provided for us to make a decent fire that lasted a few hours.
The walking track around Lake Daylesford provided a wonderful opportunity for an escape outside for a decent walk. I would have liked to have brunch at the Boat House, but didn't quite make it back the following day.
Certainly would return again.
