Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went here for a long weekend for our Anniversary. We booked a Queen Room, and arrived to a room with brown velvet on the wall. There was a small window that did not open nor could you see out of (window that is not a window). Also there is a metal art form (coat rack / hat stand) with metal arms sticking out, and my husband nearly poked his eye out at one stage, and then we getting up at night almost ran into it. He put a cushion on it to identify the protrusion. We used the bathroom, but in the morning realised that there is no shower in this huge bathroom. There was a spa / bath and toilet. Well it is no fun trying to climb into this bathtub to try and take a shower with a hand held shower head. The corridor to the bedroom was "black" - very unusual.

Location of the hotel is great, staff were all lovely and accommodating which makes you feel welcome. I am giving this 3.5 stars as I feel like it is missing a few things/needs updating. In the room we were in there was a frosted window with no view and no flyscreen so having the window open wasn’t really an option. The fridge was tiny and was more like a camp fridge, and the coffee was Nescafé small pouches. It would have been better to have a normal mini fridge under a bench then better coffee options such as a mini pod machine. Also the clock, bedside lamp, kettle and fridge were all on a power board which meant there was no available PowerPoint in the room, the only option was one point in the bathroom. Parking on site is behind the hotel and is free but it is tight so double check your car will fit through the entrance. We ate breakfast on-site each day and there was great options but we did find a lot of flys around, having a bug zapper would be great. There are heaps of tables and chairs outside but check the, first as many are wobbly and some of the chairs are starting to fall part. The bar onsite is also quite nice especially when there are people around and they have nice background music. Just check with the staff re when the kitchen closes as I heard it was 8pm. Overall stay was nice

This hotel has potential but somehow appears neglected. Common areas are untidy. The black colour scheme and dark carpet are not conducive to lightening the mood. It is a shame as a little more care would make it appealing. Someone obviously had a concept some time ago but it seems to have lost its way.

Last year when we visited at the same time, the restaurant was lovey and full to bursting. We encountered the most entertaining barman while we had a drink to wait for a table. He custom made cocktails when we didn’t like what was on offer and suggested dishes to order, which loved up to our expectations. This year the restaurant was super quiet with no atmosphere. We both ordered the pumpkin gnocchi which was unfortunately very bland. Even seasoning it didn’t help and the portion was small so we were both still hungry after, despite being a main and us two ladies who don’t have big appetites.

I really don’t like making a bad review. It is what it is BUT We stayed in this Hotel..stunning on the fascade. I booked this room for my 40th wedding anniversary. The room cost us a fortune for 2 days. Upon inspection there was no window in the room. A single room going into the bathroom. Modern..hmm The Toilet was at the end of the full open shower When u showered u needed sandbags the stop the water running to the toilet Aka towels to stop the water Slipping Hazard! When u sat on the toilet u needed the door shut because it hit u in the face! Cool 😎.. shut the door but in the middle of the night to urine u had to shut the door 🚪 then the fan came on which lasted for ever! There was no Vanity Cabinet for toiletries just a glass table…exposed pipes. Okay The Spa in the room took a hr to fill. When I turned on the jets it took off like a rocket 🚀 Jets Pointing upwards! It was that strong it took of my face mask! Water in my nose, ears, eyes The water was up the ceiling..water took out all my makeup , makeup brushes, hair diffuser. So when I got over that.. The only thing I could use was mascara Hence.. No lighting for makeup in the bathroom. Next was no power points coming into the room on the left hand side. Small bedside table with a huge lamp with a cable than run at the back of the bed coming into a power board in the left hand side. Okay with a 4 point power board & 2 lamps plugged in only give u 2 points left! 2 phones 📞 2 watches & a laptop..sorry does not work. When I complained to the Hotel 🏨 Bad luck u booked it online! Rude Management His response was u should have booked it through us! Really? I told him I rang & no one answered!. Don’t even go there with booking a table! Yeah they try to shove u in a table looking at unused table a chairs! Great view!

Booked for dinner and it has a lovely atmosphere. Quite busy and apparently popular with locals, concierge very chatty with several groups. Good menu but we weren’t overly hungry and chose a mushroom pizza and pan seared scallops, both were delicious. Service was just attentive enough but not annoying. Finished off with a “mouth freshener “, something like a limencello which was brilliant.

Extremely overpriced and terribly cooked food. Eggs were under cooked and bacon was totally burnt to a crisp. What sort of chef serves up food that’s burnt black and sends it out to a customer? Surcharge added on top of overpriced, unedible food. If the chef sends the food out and the waiter places it on the table for their customers cooked like that they are saying that they believe that’s all their customers are worth.

I wouldn't have bothered posting this until out of interest I looked up the reviews and realise there is a serious problem at this place. We almost felt like we were imposing when we were finally greeted at the podium. The server was just shy of outride rude by his indifference and lack of person-ability - the others were nice enough. The pasta in the seafood linguini was gluggly and it tasted like they'd just squirted some tomato paste into the seafood and thrown it into badly cooked pasta. The shanks weren't much better - again raw tomatoey flavour and the plates were cold so all the food cooled off really quick. The bubbles were nice but one of the red wines was under poured and for what you pay you expect a full serve - upon being alerted to this fact the server didn't even comment - said nothing - looked dubiously at the glass and reluctantly went back to the bar to fill the pour properly returning it again in silence - some people just aren't suited to hospitality I guess. The mens bathroom had urine all over the floor under the urinal and considering we were in for an early lunch that would suggest they had not been cleaned for at least 24 hours - the smell would suggest longer though. Upon leaving after dropping $150 we wont get back, another patron leaving at the same time told some people looking at the menu not to waste their money - they promptly left. I really hope the owners/management read these reviews because it is a shame and clearly could be a great venue but someone is asleep at the wheel here - insert sad face emoji ...

Food ordinary ( to be kind) Service ho hum Atmosphere lacking Value for money, non existent Thought we might be an isolated case until we heard the family next to us talking amongst themselves. This place COULD be exceptional, but unfortunately is the opposite.
