My daughter, her dog and myself stayed at Birches of Daylesford and it was just lovely. Jenny our hostess was wonderful and so accommodating. she goes above and beyond to make sure her guests are comfortable whilst also leaving them to their own space and privacy. She was just awesome!!! We stayed in the room downstairs which was so easy with the dog and so accessible in general. The garden was so pretty giving the room a very relaxing atmosphere. thank you again Jenny, see you next time

I cannot thank Jenny enough for her incredible hospitality. Jenny was very exceptionally welcoming, stocked a full breakfast pantry, and left us to our own devices allowing us to relax. We took our 2 German Shepherds and she was incredibly welcoming of them. We used the side area during the day to pen the dogs when we went out for meals and it was absolutely great.
The accommodation itself was stunning, with roof top views of trees and a glimpse of the lake. The lake is right at your doorstep and town is a short stroll away, very central location.

My partner and our border collie stayed in the Garden Suite over the long weekend and had such a great time. Birches is perfectly located walking distance from both Lake Daylesford and the main town, so we thoroughly enjoyed going for lunch on the main strip and then going for a walk in nature. Jenny is so hospitable and made sure our every need was tended to- she even left bacon, eggs and fresh bread in the kitchen for us! The Garden Suite is perfect for your furry friend, a gorgeous self contained suite with a lovely garden to keep your doggy happy and my favourite part- a massage chair in the room! We will definitely be visiting this peaceful, relaxing, doggy friendly accommodation again soon!!

Thank you Jenny for your warm, and inviting welcome to us, including Sophie our Westie.
A very good location to Vincent St, beautiful views over the country side, and little, well thought extras to make our weekend away even more relaxing.
The Attic is perfectly proportioned, the bathroom was very spacious, and the decor was exceptionally well considered, and stylish.
Should we have the opportunity for a weekend away in Daylesford again, we will definitely contact Jenny for booking.
Thank you once again Jenny.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Birches of Daylesford and it is absolutely amazing. Jenny is a wonderful host! The first time my partner, dog and I stayed was in September 2019 in the Attic, the second time we stayed in the Garden Suite, both rooms are perfect. They’re beautifully furnished, very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The fresh flowers were a beautiful touch. The views from both rooms were wonderful also. The attic suite has a beautiful view of the lake, whereas the garden suite has a beautiful deck that opens up to a little garden with enough room for our little dog to walk around. Both stays have been a delight and we will continue to visit. Thank you Jenny for a beautiful stay.

Absolutely loved our time at The Birches of Daylesford. We stayed in the attic suite - so spacious and beautifully decorated. Very Hamptons / chic feel. The view of the treetops from the balcony was beautiful - both in the sunny afternoon and the evening rain! Very comfortable and relaxing. Jenny is a lovely host and provided ample towels, condiments and fruit for our use. Love that it’s dog friendly and we got to bring our cavalier king charles spaniel with us. So rare to find dog friendly retreats. Will come again!

The Attic at The Birches of Daylesford was a most beautiful and spacious place to relax for two days. The room was very comfortable , being well appointed and tastefully decorated. Our hostess was vey friendly and helpful. The only spoiler was a small lighting problem over the kitchen area and it could have been a little cleaner with some evidence of the previous visitors.

I recently had a 3 day getaway in Daylesford and stayed in the attic room at the Birches. Attic conjures up images of a pokey little room but this is definitely not the case here. It is a huge open plan space with a balcony. More like an apartment really. If you love space and light as I do you will love this place. It is beautifully appointed with a Hamptons feel, and so clean and comfortable. The owner Jenny was so helpful and clearly puts her heart and soul into this place. Will definitely be returning. Highly recommend.

Wow, what an excellent host Jenny is. Thank you so much for making our stay such a memorable one. Excellent facilities in both the Attic and Garden suites with a nice breakfast and a big fruit bowl provided. A very short walk to both VIncent street and the Lake. For those that want a quite romantic getaway or family trip like me, don’t go past this one.
Thanks again Jenny, absolute pleasure to have shared your home.

There was a myriad of memorable guests at the Birches during January 2022 but, given your review was written on 7 January, I have made an 'educated' guess who wrote this lovely review ... and I can sincerely say that you were such welcome guests. It was certainly my pleasure and I look forward to your return! Thank you so much for taking the trouble to express your thoughts in writing. Jenny

We had a great time visiting the birches of Daylesford with our dog. Jenny was very accommodating for us and a great host. Great surrounding peaceful location, short walk to town or lake Daylesford. Great spot for a weekend getaway not too far from Melbourne.

Look forward to spending another weekend away there.
