We found the Art Motel suite where we stayed to be spotlessly clean, comfortably furnished yet a minimalist feel, not overdone but with touches of luxury. The bed linen was crisp white and so inviting. The bed was oh so comfy, beautifully decant and huge. The bathroom was the height of a five star hotel luxury with large shower head and L’Occitane bathroom products which were fresh and perfect for male and female tastes. I would have liked a small table to put a drink on when sitting on the lounge and a couple of teaspoons with the stylish cups and saucers provided.

Stayed in the heritage cottage and it was fabulous, 3br, bathroom with shower and 2 toilets, kitchen/living area and a good sized deck with furniture. Very quiet, didn't hear any people staying in the motel and no road noise. Pub across the road, cafes and restaurants 5 min walk and a 10 min walk in to town. Highly recommend.

Beautiful accommodation for 4 old friends to catch up after being locked up in ISO. We weren’t disappointed - the beds were the best, pristine sheets and towels, pillows very comfortable. The couch ever so comfortable also. Plenty of room to keep our distance within the walls. Dinner at the restaurant part of the pub across the road, was great and reasonably priced. The accom was spotless and beautiful pictures and a huge tv on the wall. Heating was excellent and we didn’t feel the cold until we went outside,
Only negatives - needed tea bags, sugar and a dish cloth & tea towel required to do dishes as we didn’t wish to waste water putting the dishwasher on for so few dishes. Also, mugs would’ve been better, but the fine china cups brought back lots of nostalgia. One minor comment if you are a light sleeper ear plugs for trucks coming into town, but it wasn’t too early for us.

The positive first the room was very clean and the bed comfortable bathroom big, shower very good however the studio is not practical for staying more than a night . We stayed 2 nights and run out of soap, tea bags and milk the second day. We left a sign out to have our room serviced but that was not done. I rang for assistance and the man asked what we required and brought them to the room which was good. When we inquired why the room was not serviced he said because of Covid. A note to let us know when we arrived would have been helpful. The kettle cups & saucers and coffee machine balance on top of the wine fridge which was a worry as we thought they may fall off. There was no where to hang our clothes. The was a wooden art piece(?) with hangers but when we saw a note to say "If you use me you will need to purchase me" so quickly removed my jacket. The height of the mirror was too high for me to see properly to do make up and the mirror behind the entrance door was not suitable due to lack of strong light. The cow hide rug was a worry as it kept buckling up and was a trip hazard. In regard to the mini bar thought it a little strange there were 2 of us but only one can of beer. There were a couple of cans of soft drink and water as well as bottle of wine which people would see as a bonus. We did think the room was overpriced.

Hello, Thank you for your review. We are constantly using guest feedback to improve our accomodation and ensure all our guests have the best stay possible. We have just spoken with our housekeeping team to reintroduce servicing of rooms daily whilst keeping our high Covid-19 procedures in place. The sign that says "If you use me you will need yo purchase me" is for our logo umbrella's and not for the complementary coat hangers but we will work out a better procedure to avoid any further confusion. We would appreciate if you could contact us at: sleep@farmersarmsdaylesford.com.au to so we can discuss any other issues you had and look at ways we can avoid having them happen again in the future. Whilst we cannot turn back the clock your feedback is very important to us and we always use this feedback to drive our business and make it better everyday. We look forward to hosting you next time you are in Daylesford and hope to earn a 5-star review. Kind Regards, Mitch & The Farmers Team

There is no hot water in our room on two of the days of our stay. We had to complain about it and somehow the problem was fixed....temporarily at least. There was no wardrobe in which to hang our the only hanger provided was probably designed as a coat rack The room looked and felt like we were in transit to somewhere better. The fridge had no ice compartment and so no drinking was available within the room without our begging for ice from nearby hotels. The TV screen was permanently fixed facing the bed but does not tilt towards the sofa so the only way that you could watch TV comfortably was when you're in bed!. Really a totally substandard experience after paying $1250 for 4 night stay. Daylesford deserves better than this Staying here does you no favour when wishing to eat across the street at The Farmer's Arms.

We stayed in the house, not the Art Motel Rooms. At almost $1200 for our two day stay, We expected more. Our two emails requesting single beds were not ‘received’ by the hotel so we were stuck with double beds. We had a kitchenette but no dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tabs or even a tea towel. The dish cloth was old and grubby. There were six of us with 4 espresso pods for coffee and no milk. The response when I contacted the property after our stay was, that we stayed two nights and should have asked. Believe me, we did! We were also under the impression there would be a mini bar, but no, that’s only for the motel rooms. These little things really make a difference and left us disappointed.

Arrived and no power at all on site. We received a phone call saying our booking at the farmers arms for dinner was cancelled as they didn’t have power, but no one at the motel bothered to call us to tell us. We travelled into town to find a restaurant with power so we could eat, came back expecting the free in room mini bar, no mini bar in room. Bed was comfortable, pillows are way too soft and flatten easily. Tastefully decorated, large bathroom was good and Netflix access on smart tv was perfect.

Very attractively decorated room and bathroom. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Even though this is a self check in motel, the service was great. I had not received the email with check in details so I called the day before our arrival. Got someone on the phone right away and they quickly sorted everything. Loved the extra perk of free drinks and snacks (I think they were free, haven't seen a charge on our bill yet ;-). Lots of great amenities, wonderful bathroom with really nice products. The only downside is that there was no closet or drawers (could have been a problem if staying more than a night or two) and there was no extra blanket, pillows or towels. Since the guest services close at 5 PM there was no one to ask for these or other things we may need. The heater was ok and the bedding warm enough, luckily, on the cold and rainy night we stayed. But I did need an extra towel. In this kind of self check in situation, extra things should be provided for. But otherwise we really did like the place and would stay again (now that we know what to request in advance!)

We booked the Cottage as we wanted a room each and it fitted the bill beautifully. Each bedroom was a very generous size and well appointed, loved the Elvis cushion. The access to Netflix was an added bonus although we didn't spend much time watching TV. We enjoyed a meal at the Farmer's Arms Hotel across the road and it was easily the best meal we had during our stay.

We recently stayed at the Farmers Arms for a couple of nights, visiting Daylesford and the surrounding towns in the Macedon ranges. Can thoroughly recommend the motel accomodation - clean, spacious and very comfortable- located directly across the road from the fabulous pub, and a short walk up the road to the terrific Cliffy’s for breakfast. A great place to stay when visiting beautiful Daylesford
