I recently enjoyed a 3 night stay in Samadhi’s Emerald Retreat. It was beautifully appointed and very comfortable, with special touches like a private garden & water feature in the bathroom. A perfect space for rest, relaxation, and time out.

Meals were delicious, nutritious, and beautifully presented, with a variety of snacks on hand in case I was peckish in between. Staff were friendly and attentive to my needs but took great care not to be intrusive.

Loved the healing activities, particularly the meditation sessions guided by Annah’s beautiful voice, and an amazing sound immersion session.

All in all a unique, restorative experience.

Thank you Annah, Wayne and the Samadhi team.

I am sitting in the beautiful retreat created by Annah and Wayne on my last night here and am overwhelmed with love and gratitude for the special time I have had here. This is a luxury retreat like no other I have experienced before. It is completely unique and one that has weaved shifts from within that are difficult to articulate. They work alongside the person with respect, individualise intuitively from a place of experience and knowledge.

Thank you for creating a space and program that has given me the peace, quiet, reflection, healing and re-energising I needed to start my year.

The thought and creativity that has gone into your retreat spaces and programs has not gone unnoticed. From the beautiful space of the retreat itself, to the physical flow of the building (whereby you are not even aware of other visitors staying here), to the garden and it’s reflective spaces that allow you to sit in nature itself. This is along with the personally structured journey you take each of us on, and finally to your high level skills that create a sense of safety, security, and space to hold for us to allow healing to take place. Thank you for your pure kindness, your authentic energies and passion, your vast knowledge and wisdom, and incredible array of hats you both can wear from your wealth of training and experience. I cannot recommend this experience enough.

Samadhi Retreat is NOT a health retreat (not recognised by health professionals). Read the google reviews that give it 2 stars or less for a realistic review.

I paid over $2.5k for 2 nights’ accommodation & a “spa package”, the only inclusions were breakfast & dinner (a carrot log and carrots on night 1, and a green pasta on night 2), a 30 min meditation session and a 45 min massage - all sub par . The $395 spa package was not as advertised. The owners enter the room through the front door & lock you in to exit through the back door. Off-putting.

I was refunded the price of the spa package after complaining. Still not worth it.

Response from Annah Mirananda, General Manager at Samadhi Spa & Wellness Retreat
Responded 19 Jan 2022
We thought it prudent to respond to your comments as they do not paint the full picture of a stay at the retreat. Samadhi Retreat is a private bespoke healing and meditation retreat not a traditional health retreat. We offer a planned experience which includes beautiful accommodation, healthy breakfasts and dinners (which have been enjoyed by the many guests we have received over the last 20 years) , massage therapies, counseling / coaching meditation and a wide range of complimentary healing therapies. Your hosts are fully qualified and have 20+ years professional experience in these fields. Recognition by health professionals usually falls under the umbrella of clinical therapy often under the blanket of a GP's  referral. This is definitely not the path of therapy we offer. You would typically find this in a clinical rehab setting not a wellness retreat environment. Samadhi is a uniquely designed facility which provides our guests with inhouse meals and mostly private sessions reducing the interactions with other guests. This is paramount in the current COVID conditions we all find ourselves in during these difficult times. Privacy and a securely hosted bespoke experience have been our signature offering for many years now. All our retreats have their own private entrance to which guests have a key to enter and exit through as was yours. You are at no time locked into your accommodation. Our recent refurbishment includes a new locking system on the rear door of your retreat. The internal additional snib was out of stock due to COVID supply issues until after the new year. We appreciate your concerns and thought that we had addressed this with you on arrival. We offer a hosted stay where we ensure our guests privacy and security throughout the retreat stay. We ensure the facility is locked securely each evening. Samadhi Retreat is uniquely placed in the wellness retreat market and we continue to upgrade our facility so it better offers a safe haven for the weary traveler. We are modern in design and offer a beautiful setting with stylised forest gardens, contemporary and luxurious accommodations, private bathing and some intimate private outdoor meditation landscapes. Comparing prices can be confusing as many wellness retreats are often large group based and do lack the boutique aspect of a small private facility. We appreciate that it is difficult to compare retreats and pricing due to their diversity.

We did a couple's massage program and it was a very, very positive experience, they were very good at creating a relaxing atmosphere and during the massage I felt like I was in "orbit". Nice and very clean environment in every room. The hair stylist also satisfied me, being kind and attentive in everything.

I have just spent 3 days by myself at Samadhi Retreat. It's the second time I choose to stay at this retreat because it's the perfect place when you want to charge your batteries again and restore yourself.
This time I was given the new apartment, Emerald, which is stunning, all wood inside and the bathroom has a stunning tiny waterfall throughout the moss that enriches the atmosphere while you have a bath.
Their service is always of an amazing quality and they truly care for all the guests.
Thank you Wayne and Annah, you will see me again soon!!!

Annah and Wayne were again such great hosts. Thank-you to Simone for the yoga tuition and Jillian, I adored the frozen strawberry dessert :) I was invited to visit the kitchen garden where they grow their own produce and I savoured such beautifully presented and freshly prepared food....you can taste the difference!!!

I love this place, the warmth of the staff, the secrecy of it, the absolute care and consideration for my wellbeing that comes from the heart. Samadhi is even more beautiful than my last visit, it continues to grow but retains its privacy. This time I experienced the newly built Emerald Retreat, what an exquisite gem. It's secluded and bespoke; a priceless gem that enveloped me....aahhh Samadhi I love you :)

My stay at Samadhi was wonderful. I loved the gardens, the birdsong and the natural, peaceful surroundings. The beds are comfy, the fireplace gave the room a warm. cosy glow and the meals were beautifully prepared and delicious. I felt Wayne and Annah were focussed on my well being and provided a supportive environment for rejuvenation. Thank you, it was just what I needed, and I highly recommend Samadhi Retreat for the nurturing place that I found it to be.

I feel strongly to advise this place was not a health retreat.
1.could never get onto anyone to ask questions on what treatments could receive. He avoided that on phone and realised when got there because really nothing was on offer. Meditation for no more than 14 mins- done in bedroom turning your head to the right to look out of window???? BAD. VERY EXPENSIVE for what I was expecting. Told couldn't arrive till 2pm so when arrived apparently a wellness consultation that was just overlooked and never had. That should always be how you start a Health retreat!
Spent day shoppping in Daylesford which was not what I wanted to do as they had nothing to do there.
I Needed a break! Really just accomodation ! When I offered some feedback suddenly he appeared into room and was quite cross at what I had to say. I left feeling very strange about this place. It was NOT COVID and a lot more could of been offered done prior to my visit to make it a actual retreat.
Paid extra for a program and the website looks great but the place is not like it advertises.
I was told to come back ad would have to spend more days there together something out of it?? Definitely NOT. Only good the food although told them didn't like sultanas and 1 meal laden with sultanas. I wouldn't recommend this place at all !

Response from Wayne Mirananda, Owner at Samadhi Spa & Wellness Retreat
Responded 18 Sept 2020
Sorry to hear you had such a difficult time. Upon first read of your review it seemed you may have stayed with us but there are too many irregularities for us to think it so. These being : We were not open in May due to COVID 19 restrictions and you said you stayed in May. Also we do not offer meditation in bed, we use our lovely gardens or beautiful designated meditation space. We also have an extensive menu of treatment offerings available to our in-house guests which can be viewed in your retreat. Also we do not get cross with our guests as this is not our service model. Its hard to know who you are as your reviewer name is not clear. I would recommend you contact your place of stay directly and discuss any problems you had. Wish you all the best

From the moment you arrive here it feels like a comforting hug. Anna and Wayne went above and beyond for me during my stay but also gave me the space I needed to truly relax. The food was magnificent too. If you are needing somewhere to recharge the batteries this place is lovely.
