What a great country pub. Wonderful atmosphere, excellent well priced meals, and really comfortable room. Only downside, with a room facing the rail line, we were awakened throughout the night as trains rumbled through. Who knew this rail corridor was so busy! Rookie error on our behalf, but only a mild distraction.

I visited this venue on the 14th of February with a couple of friends for lunch. I was impressed by the decor and homely atmosphere, then my order came out, 20 minutes after my guests were served. I ordered some bread for the table ( 20 minutes too late to be of any consequence), wanting a bit of variety I ordered two entrees for myself, the Lamb Kebabs and Pate. Lamb was dry and chewy plus they plated the wrong sauce, no Tzatziki but they placed the same sauce for the Pate on the plate with the lamb! Pate was very soft and fell of the bread of which three small slices was never going to suffice. Plus the two entrees were served on the old disgusting wooden boards during covid?!

Lovely, proper hotel with charming characters. Pool was great and clean. Bistro food was delicious. Bar was friendly and enjoyable. Great value accomodation. Train runs past through the night, so if you’re a light sleeper, come with ear plugs :)

It’s always hard to find somewhere to go with a group of people, especially with Covid19 restrictions. The team at Bundanoon Hotel were helpful and great to deal with from the moment I sent an enquiry email, to welcoming us in for dinner and to servicing us all. Food was lovely, huge portions, lots of choice. We had a really happy experience.

Another nice visit to Bundanoon Hotel. So pleased to visit & experience the restaurant/ beer garden renovations. Bar service requires a little more thought & system implementation ! Great pub with that awesome old world feel, good value for money.

Room Tip: Ensuite room worth the extra $$ Ask for a rear room to help avoid train noise.
