Nicely presented decor, trying to be old English or Scottish. Had schnitzel, burgher, both very nice. Schnitzel very crispy, to table 20 minutes after order $90 a couple including local wines( glass). Easy parking. You do hear the trains.

Meals at the Bundanoon Hotel are always very good, as we have been on many occasions. The great thing about this hotel is the outdoor area that is very dog friendly. On this particular occasion though, we were confronted with a lawnmower guy with his dog off a lead. Not only is this inconsiderate and selfish, but could have ended up badly, as his dog was ready to run for our little dog before I picked ours up. The surprising thing was when staff were informed the selfish gardener gave us a look and comment under breath and didn't even initially put his dog on the lead! On top of this, he continued to use his loud leaf blower near guests arriving at mid-day, even after staff advised him to hurry it up, as they too were not happy. For a staffer to give a customer a mouthful and continue his inconsiderate acts, management should be dismissing this ignorant contractor's services for good! Would we go back as a result of the hotel's inaction? Probably not, so they have lost our regular business, as we wouldn't risk seeing another dog allowed off a lead, let alone a staff member's!

The gent welcoming me was kind enough to carry my case up the stairs. I had renovated room 9 overlooking the beer garden, so there would be noise during nights when the bar was open and the patronage higher. The room had an excellent Queen bed with good linen plus an old bedside table, lamp, wardrobe and vasic chair. WiFi was good and unlike in some Italian and French hotels that I had just stayed in, it was easy to find a bathroom power point to charge my phone. The renovated bathroom had good non slip floor tiles and a practical shower. Water flow in the shower was OK but it lacked the luxury, away from home rainshower experience. The hotel bar opens longer on weekends. Some nights have a bistro. There is a well maintained pool and tennis court for guests. Not all rooms have ensuites though mine did. It is a 101 year old historic property opposite the railway station where trains to and from Canberra stop plus a limited number of Campbelltown to Goulburn services. I used a Sydney to Canberra train to arrive.

More than 100 of our family and friends stayed at this quaint hotel for our daughter’s wedding in October and we were so very impressed with the warmth of the staff and the exceptional food prepared by Ben and his restaurant team. Would highly recommend staying here for a comfortable and relaxing experience.

Worst meal I have had in 9 years of visits. Bundanoon Hotel. The Bundanoon Club is always booked out as it has quality food, so tried the pub as it used to be good. Very ordinary Caesar Salad & noisy dining room for 2 people. Beer was awful. Last meal here I feel.

We had a lovely lunch, the food was great, coffee was hot and delicious (one of the best I've had in the Highlands) and the staff were so friendly, the eating area has a lovely, warm feeling, we will definitely go again!

It was pizza, pasta, jazz and blues night. We didn’t know that until we got there but it was a really good atmosphere. When we arrived, after booking online it was packed. We ordered pizzas at 6.50 and got them at 8.05. They were delicious, almost worth the wait …we didn’t risk ordering dessert. I loved the old building and the entertainment was great but make sure you’ve got plenty of time.

Great food with friendly staff. I also ate at Osbourne house and the pub meals won hands down. The rooms are basic and a bit shabby but you only need a place to sleep. The pub is an easy walk to the National Park and short drive to Bowral and surrounding areas. My only complaint is the strong smell of cigarette smoke that permeates the ground floor. I eventually discovered customers (who appeared to be locals) smoking in the back bar. So, sit by the fire, enjoy the reasonably priced alcohol and the great food, but stay away from the back bar. It would be great if the hotel served breakfast but we had no trouble crossing the railway line and finding cosy cafes.

Head Chef Ben and his restaurant team outdid themselves last night. The two entrees we had for starters were beautifully presented and had our taste budds on overdrive. The Smoked Salmon my wife had was absolutely delicious and my Prosciutto with figs, well I nearly fell off the table. Our two mains, the linguine with fresh crab and chilli which are a signature dish here at the Hotel were again just outstanding as usual. And as I keep telling everyone, the best version of this dish in the Southern Highlands. Due to the freshness of the pasta, the presentation and the generous servings of the main ingredients. The only disappointment this time was I couldn't fit in my usual desert of Sticky Date Pudding. A great night and thank you to the front of house staff as well for their friendly country style service.

Musty and dusty old place, overly heated and not well maintained. Stayed for long weekend and bins in poorly supplied kitchens overflowing as was bathroom bins. Few mugs and basics available and zero cutlery. Sad really as the place has potential. Restaurant .... $24 hamburger yet $29 chicken parmy was way too large. Overall a dinasaur that's lost its way. Lots of healthy fresh air if you take a walk.
