Had a lovely one night stay in Long Acre in the Garden Room. Rose was very friendly and we felt genuinely welcome. Room itself was lovely, comfortable beds, a large wet room (with a nice shower) and self catering amenities.

Rose Dawson will make you very welcome. Good Yorkshire no nonsense B&B, clean, very comfortable and nothing skimped on your stay, plenty of everything tea, coffee fruit bowl, all washing items including shampoo and conditioner available plus good television channels and free wifi for your stay. For the same price of a chain hotel room it's a "no brainer" Breakfast... More

Arrived in Thirsk on route to Newcastle around 9.30pm and only secured the room due to Rose having a no show. What luck we had. Everything you could wish for. So comfortable, beautifully clean and such thought to detail. Homemade cake, huge breakfast perfectly cooked and presented with a mountain of fresh fruit. In the morning we found out about... More

I stayed here for 2 nights on my way home from Scotland. I felt really welcome when I arrived. The room was lovely and had everything I needed. I had a shared bathroom with my room which was absolutely fine. I saw all the animals in the garden which was lovely. Breakfast was really good. The B&B was really close... More

We needed to visit our Daughter in Thirsk at short notice and tried many B&B's locally without success. Eventually we spoke to Rose at longacre who initially could not help, however, she phoned us back about 30 minutes later and offered us a room! When we arrived we found she had shuffled everyone around in the other rooms and put... More

We booked rather late but Rose managed to accommodate us by moving people around. She is such a welcoming person and although she has been running a guest house for many years she makes everyone feel special and obviously enjoys her job. She is an animal lover and in the grounds of a couple of acres she has 46 rescue... More

We returned home today from our first ever visit to Long Acres.....we have already booked to return in August! We hadn't heard of this place but when we decided to visit Thirsk, we looked up the local B&Bs and this one stood out for us. What a good choice we made! From the moment we arrived, Rose and John, the... More
