The hotel was lovely we started off with a nice lady I think her name was sammy she was very polite and gave us a welcoming welcome once we arrived, in the rooms they were clean and friendly , my husband was very happy with the hotel the manners of the receptionist as the one we went to in Blackpool was disgusting I’d never go there I shall come back to this one I loved the stay I enjoyed being able to see my grandchildren and going back to a comfy bed thank you 5 stars

Stayed here for 1 night this weekend to attend a naming ceremony, dont get me wrong location was spot on for the area bit thay is all, firstly the smell in the room was like soured soap, the carpet was vile to the point where we had to wear our shoes around, and dont want to think about what the stains were, the room was covered in dust, the chair still had loose tobacco and change lying from the previous guests, the cups and dead flies in them, the mattress has a almost metal ridge around the edge, very painful, but worst of all was the bathroom/shower facilities, I've attached a pic which by no means shows it, the shower turns on as normal strength etc, within about 3 seconds it goes into a dribble of water with no strength and remains like that, barely even washes the soap off, in order to was my hair the next morn I had to use the kettle from the room filled from the sink. We did say to reception to which we were told there was no room to swap to and that was the height of getting it sorted. Couldn't wait to leave, definitely won't be back, would rather travel from the city centre in future. I've attached pics which do not by any way show how bad it was

Stayed here in order to attend my granddaughters christening. Your typical functional Travelodge. The head-line refers to park your car at risk! Sadly, my car was driven into causing damage to my off-side & front. Went to ask reception for video footage. Guess what no camera's covering outside the front area where the majority of guests park! You could say this is not a TL responsibility, possibly so. But in today's age it is surprising that no consideration is given to actually ensuring some safety for vehicles let alone people. Secondly, be warned that one can expect to receive a disturbed nights sleep, especially on a Saturday. We were woken to what sounded like a car meet along with the rowdiness that goes with it @ 0230hrs, the noise finally finished at 0345hrs. While the Peak district has some beautiful scenery, my advice is stay outside of Glossop. It is not representative of the Peak district. For the record having spent 14 years living there, I left way back in the mid 90's & so pleased I did. Only returning to see family. Those of you who believe in protecting yourself from CV-19 , take note while TL have all the signs many guests do not adhere to wearing masks, especially when in the lift. I had two occasions where guests entering the lift were not mask wearing. Of course your choice, personally I will never stay here again.

Stayed as a couple Oct 2021 Location: In Glossop town centre, situated in the shopping centre with plenty of parking available. Location made it easy to access many areas of the Peaks such as Buxton, Castleton and Lyme House. The noticeboard in the car park state a maximum 3 hour stay however Travelodge staff registers the vehicle on the system which allows free parking throughout the stay and as we were visiting the Peaks, we could come and go as pleased with no restrictions. Hotel is close to amenities such as restaurants (in the shopping centre there is a Wetherspoons pub, Dominioes, Aldi, Pico Lounge and M and S foodcourt ) Staff were all very professional and friendly. The room was fairly quiet, though there was minimal cupboard space for storage. The bathroom was not well ventilated and smelt rather musty though no obvious issues for us. The room was extremely good value and functional, and we would stay again if we were visiting this region.

I travelled for work at the weekend and decided to stay here for a night, it was lovely. One of the best nights sleep I've had in a very long time! Also liked the fact I could see my car out of the window as well as the picture perfect scenery too! I was also able to use the toilets before check in to get ready for my work meeting and they also took my registration plate early due to me leaving my car there whilst working before I'd checked in. Thank you so much!
