Today we decided to have a meal in this lovely pub. Plenty of tables to choose from and the decor is stunning. Hubby and I decided to have sandwiches, one a ham on a white bloomer and the other chicken and bacon on a sandwich consisting of three slices of toast, both these came with fries and coleslaw - mmm...

Food usually great and went in for the first time since refurb- must be a different chef and ingredients . Pie was rock hard and inedible ! Chips were frozen and they are usually fresh ! Really disappointing and I didn't bother to change meal with young child didn't want to wait further. Put me off returning again !

Love this place. The owners have been very accommodating each time we've been here with our baby. The landlady is lovely and you always get a smile. The food is amazing, I've never had a bad meal here.

This pub/hotel is well placed in the centre of Glossop which is a gateway to the Pennines and the peak district good place to stay if you wish to visit the peak district and they serve lovely food. Many local shops serving good food and a local indoor market.

First of all the lady who served us was great but the food was poor. The pub is clean with a great atmosphere. We ordered a Sunday lunch and had high expectations with a new weather spoons pub across the road.Unfortunately when the food did arrive the presentation looked more like a car crash. The chef even had the nerve to send us...

I drink in here occasionally and the beer can be hit and miss. Ate food for the first time here last night had a salt and pepper pork rib special and it was awful. Very dry and well over cooked. Table service was very slow as well even though only 2 tables were being used

We stayed overnight. The room was large and homeley, clean, warm, the towels were beautiful, soft and white. Staff very polite and friendly. We didn't eat there but will do next time. We definitely will be staying there again.

We stayed here in two rooms as a family of five age ranges from 72 down to 22. The stuff here are extremely friendly and very helpful. The rooms are very clean with a wall mounted flat screen television for those that need it. After returning from our family function at at Glossop Football Football Club for a few drinks...

This is a nice bar with a warm welcome just situated next to Glossop Station. It's a holts house with a dining room which is a first for me. If you are in the area then I would recommend calling in here.

Thank Dave R

“We only saw one room and even though it was over the part of the Pub that smokers used outside it di not keep me awake and I would not have been able to sleep if it was noisy. It is also in the middle of Glossop but I did not notice the noise of traffic so I would assume that all the rooms are OK”

“Our room was at the back above the outside smoking area so was a bit noisy until closing time but not too intrusive. Maybe a room at the front would be better???”
