We stayed for 3 nights between Christmas and New Year and we really enjoyed our stay. Alan was an excellent host - who made us feel very welcome on arrival and throughout our stay. The breakfast choice was great, especially as it catered for vegetarians too. The B&B was very comfortable and relaxing it was lovely to come back to...

The blend of historic design and modern convenience in this old house is enchanting. Big old wood beams and crooked angles combine with spacious, comfy rooms and stylish bathrooms. Room 3 on the top floor felt like our own hideaway. Plus, Alan's welcome is warm, the breakfast tasty and hearty, and the pubs of tiny Castleton are right outside the...

Alan is a delightful man who welcomes you to his home. We cannot fault the location, very close to town, parking, room comfortable and clean. However this is Alan's home and this is where our negative comes in. The breakfast room is also Alan's living room which is shared of an evening and as soon as you leave the breakfast...

Returned to explore further this beautiful area of the Peak District. This B & B is perfectly located in the village, everything is walking distant and Alan is a great host. All rooms, back & front, have views. The back rooms look across to the Mam Tor Ridge. Breakfasts will definitely set you up for the day!

A great place to land after a long week on the hills! Great room very well appointed and clean. Very friendly and helpful owner. Really good communication before our visit as there were some things like parking and luggage transfer that needed sorting. Good breakfast. Ideally located within Castleton.

Booked this B&B after cancelling our original self catering one. So glad we did. Alan, the owner, telephoned us whilst we were on our way there to check what type of beds we preferred (double or twin). When we arrived he was there to greet us and offered to help carry our suitcase up the stairs for us. The room...
