Popped in for a quick tea before the other half goes away. Fantastic service and amazing food. The bar staff were so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The food portions were perfect and everything was perfectly cooked!! Also some fantastic boards advertising drinks and specials. Good job you guys! Edgar xoxo

After a day walking the Great Ridge, I was proper famished. Menu here looked great, so I ordered the Chicken Supreme. I was presented with a lump of overcooked chicken with a hard, carbonised casing resembling a small meteor that would have been more at home flying around in the Asteroid belt... No eatery should get away with serving up...

I stayed in room 2, my parents stayed in room 1. They wanted room 1 for the big modernised bathroom which was what it says but had no shelf space at all but plenty of space to allow for some! I wanted room 2 as looked lovely furnishings and decor and also had heard it wasn't above the 'noisy' part...

The menu board outside says come inside to see our new menu! For two nights we walked past and went to places that had a menu outside that we could look at first. It was only because somebody recommended the place that we went in on the third night. If we hadn't received this recommendation we would have gone somewhere...

Stayed here as going to a gig nearby. Great place, nice rooms and really good pub, (busy with a great atmosphere but didn't cause any disturbance in the bedrooms). Last but not least, a really lovely team who are welcoming and really looked after us. Did not know Castleton (or Hope Halley) before but a lovely part of the country...

We stayed at this hotel on the suggestion of our friends who wanted to spend the night to celebrate a birthday. This is a lovely hotel in a really great place. Rooms were lovely and clean, the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Tea and coffee making facilities, tv etc. There was a vast...

A characterful old pub with lots of charm and a range of tasty treats on the menu. My recent visit with my family saw all of us partaking in the Beef sandwiches on the menu (as is a favourite of ours) and were all most pleased with the food. The filling was substantial and cooked to moist perfection. (Nowt worse...

We have stayed in Castleton a few times but this was the first time in the Peak and we will definitely be returning. We booked the week before for a Sunday and Monday night at £65 a night which is more than reasonable. Although we thought we had booked for bed and breakfast, this turned out not to be the...

Homely yet adventurously decorated pub. Incredibly warm and prompt service and we were made to feel very welcome for a Sunday roast. Good rather than excellent food but a very easy place to recommend.
