Called for an early evening meal and whilst we expected to pay a little more for the location, I feel that £11.55 for steak & kidney pie and £13.75 for Duo of Derbyshire land is pushing it a bit. Add to that the fact that most of the lamb was fat, not really impressed Pub itself has a lot of...

Stop here for some lunch, sat out in the barn building. Lovely atmosphere, heated lamps on the wall to keep off the chills. Wonderful staff and service and the food was fantastic. The lamb cutlets with beef was especially good.

We had booked 3 nights here and requested a quiet room. If you can sleep through noisy traffic outside your window, wind whistling through drafty windows that are not double glazed, hearing the people in room next doors every word and the sheep starting to go baa in the field at 4am, which are outside the other window {room 2)...

I stopped by this pub for two nights in a row at the weekend, whilst I was staying at the Castleton YHA with my family. We were very impressed with the food on both nights, and would say it is one of the best pubs for dinner in the village! On the first night we had the hunter's chicken, and...

Very terrible service waited over 50 minute for meal to be served to have to chase the additional vegetables that come with the meal 10 mins after our meal was eventually served! Not at all happy with the service. Having said this the food was okay when it arrived but not worth the wait AVOID!

This is my favourite place. Has a nice calming, relaxing atmosphere and the tastiest meals. The main reason is the quality of the food the pork belly is to die for and I have never had better anywhere else. The waiter staff are always lovely and I can't wait for my next visit.

Stayed here with work in January. The first room I was shown to was at the front of the hotel, There's a vent in the window which makes a real racket so I asked to be moved. It turned out that my colleague who had arrived earlier had found the same and asked to be moved. Why put someone else...

Booked for a weekend break with my wife, given what could only be described as a box room over the kitchens. Constant banging from which we were told was a faulty kitchen door. Noise stopped for thirty minutes after complaint on first afternoon then forced us out of room early evening . Asked on second evening if anything was going...

First the good points the food we received was very nice, there was 7 of us and we ordered separately in sets of 3. The gentleman on the bar was very nice and put it to come out at the same time for us. We thought we had paid for 2 lots of chips, and when the rest of the...

My 80 year old dad had a meal today 25th Jan lunchtime. The sausage tasted very odd, seemed off. My daughter tasted it and said immediately the same. Clearly not right. The chef and staff were most unpleasant, disagreed, refused to refund and made my old dad really upset, he's still upset this evening. What an awful experience at a...
