Stayed for two nights with a mate for a trip to sample the Peak District roads on our motorbikes. Really friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room was fine, food good and beer excellent. Good base for touring the area - recommended.

The Inn is located in the heart of the Peak District National Park and a short drive from many of the Park's attractions. Our room was well equipped with a smart modern bathroom. The accommodation block is away from the noise of the pub/restaurant. Breakfast was very good and the evening menu was varied with a traditional 'home cooked' feel....

We stopped here on way back to hotel after walking at Mam Tor. It was worth making the decision not to eat in Castleton. We had a nice meal, with good portions. A friendly pub atmosphere, good service and good beer. Parking is a bit tight, but there is nearby parking for anyone who can walk a few yards.

We stayed here over a very busy bank holiday weekend and was very impressed. We took our dog who was made to feel very welcome with a bed, bowl & biscuit waiting in the room for her. Room was clean. Food was lovely & breakfast was more than adequate. Will definitely return in the future.

Good pub near the reservoir. Nice and cosy, which was good as we were wet from cycling. Portion sizes were decent; had the lamb burger which was pretty good. Staff were nice, and service prompt. Free wifi.

Welcome and food at breakfast and dinner wonderful. Some far from ordinary choices on the dinner menu. Rooms and double beds a little small but warm and well furnished. To be highly recommended to all my friends.

We stayed here with a large group of friends and had a good time. We had dinner and breakfast in a large room to the side keeping us from bothering the other diners with our chatter - apologies to the other couple of residents who gamely put up with us! Dinner was excellent - we had to choose from 3...

We stayed here one night to meet up with some college friends and stayed in Room 15. The hotel is a bit like one of the Relais Du Silence hotels in France - family run, with pleasant rooms and good value food. There is plenty of parking and some good walking to be had in the area

After a lovely walk up Win Hill we decided to have a meal here. It was lovely, scampi and chips for myself, hubby had steak and kidney pie with vegetables. Was really impressed, a good sized meal, hot and tasty, plenty of choice on the menu as well as specials. Went for a dessert too, felt we deserved it after...

I came here last year and i really enjoyed the food, but there were a few problems: We had a dog that we wanted to bring in and they had a pet area for the dog and family to sit together which seemed like a good idea till i sat down on probably the most uncomfortable seat i have ever...
