One of the worst hotels l have stayed in. Like most people, we went with Urquhart's tours. Unbelievable... There was no porter to help the elderly, the lift had a mind of its own, the place was cluttered with furniture and was difficult to get your suitcases weaved around. There was instructions on what not to do. l thought it...

First impressions were of roses - on the wallpaper, the cushions, behind the bar but it was cosy. Our room was not very big and the floorboards creaked terribly, try going to the loo in the middle of the night. The bathroom was quite big but cold, we had to close the window on arrival. Shower not very powerful or...

Having read some of the previous reviews I did not expect too much but I was pleasantly surprised. We travelled with David Urquhart coach tours and the hotel itself is lovely from the outside. Inside there is a warm feeling with lovely comfy furniture in the entrance area as well as in the reception and lounge areas. Yes there are...

Lovely family run hotel. Lovely chintzy décor, food excellent, well prepared and good choice. Bathrooms could be updated, but lovely and clean. Staff always dresses nicely and very attentive. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel is old and shabby, although beds and towels were clean that was where the cleanliness stopped, as you will see from photos the shower room left a lot to be desired, God only knows when behind the radiator...

A full coachload from our club took every room in this hotel for our annual autumn 5 day break and for the first time in the 8 or so years its been going, there wasn't a single complaint from the 53 members who went. For the money we paid (£185 each inc our coach travel and excursions from Cumbernauld), you...
