We atayed at Fairladies Barn at the end of May, our last night of comfort before starting the coast to coast. The rooms were warm and comfortable - lads of space. We got a very warm welcom from our hosts - and their pets - and had a brilliant (if rather short) stay. The breakfast was very good and provided... More

Nicola and Will got us off to a good start on our C2C walk. They are a short way up a hill from the train station and the start of the walk, but not seriously so. Full English breakfast was great, and the hostess friendly and helpful.

Stayed at Fairladies Barn for 3 nights in November. William & Nicola could not have done enough for us. Very welcoming & happy go lucky couple. The rooms were nice warm & cosy & the breakfast was amazing. I would def return next year again but this time bring my whole family with me .

A warm welcome from Will and Nicola, they were both friendly and remembered our names, such a lovely personable couple. Breakfast was full English with well sourced produce, very tasty. We would not hesitate to return next year.

Not awful, but still one of the least nice places I've stayed in England. Owner said wifi was "spotty" ("sometimes it's available in the garden") but that was apparently a euphemism for "no wifi." No restaurant in the guest house, so had to go out for dinner, where things were crowded. Room was big enough, but on the dark side,... More

A lovely welcome was given to my elderly parents from owners Nicola and Will, and my husband and I were invited to join them for breakfast during their stay. Breakfast was '' full English '' and absolutely delicious. Bacon and sausage being sourced from Woodalls, the best you can get! My parents have stayed in several B&B's in St.Bees and... More

Very friendly hosts but rooms need a lot of TLC, bathrooms need a good scrub or maybe regrouting, bed linens and drapery very shabby and need replaced. Dining room also needs a freshen up, fish tank in corner yuck! Could be fantastic but as is wouldn't stay again. Much better and cheaper B&Bs in the area.

A scruffy place, scruffy garden and scruffy tired breakfast room. A dead fish in the aquarium probably summed it up. A poor welcome although a pleasant young man. The door on our room partly broken. Breakfast average although the young lady serving on the morning tried to make an effort and was chatty and personable. Would not stay here again!

Will and Nicola could not have been more helpful when I asked to extend my stay and to make sure I stayed in the same room which I was more than happy with, which also had WIFI. (A must for me) Will was also fantastic when my car broke down on the first day of my holiday. I won't bore... More
