Don't be deceived by the outside of the hotel! This hotel and restaurant is definitely punching above it's weight! Staff are friendly, welcoming and the rooms are comfortable. The food & service in The Estuary restaurant is very very good, and I couldn't really fault it. The only let down was the thickness of the walls between rooms 6 &... More

Rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed & decorated. The views are beautiful so try and get a room at the front. Staff are friendly, attentive and professional. Food was divine, yummy, faultless. The only minor niggle is that the creaky floorboards in my room meant I could not go to the toilet quietly - and I know it is... More

A very comfortable Lakeland Inn right in the centre of the tiny village a stone's throw from the railway station. ( a recommended scenic coastal journey up from Barrow) Good complimentary room tray including a Cafetiere, and Hot chocolate. Good bar selection including ice-cold Lakeland lager (5%) on draught and all the usual bottled varieties, freshly made hot and cold... More

Had a great night where we used the function room through the day and night. We had enough space for 15 of us with room to spare. Organising was easy and friendly. Whatever we wanted. Hotel excellent, rooms great, food fantastic and service very accommodating. Everything we wanted. Thanks

We stayed at the Pennington as a couple for a 3 night break in February in room 18 which was immaculate, very cosy with lots of space, an amazing view from the window and a huge modern bathroom! We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay and could not find fault with anything about our stay, only that it wasn’t long enough!... More

What a lovely hotel and fantastic staff. I can honestly say I have never stayed anywhere with nicer staff. They were so friendly and helpful even posted my sons teddy bear back to us that we did not know we had left behind. The room was so well equipped, better than some 5 stars that I have stayed in and... More

The hotel is not flash from the outside or fancy with it's website but it was an absolute treat! Very modern room with everything you could need! Excellent wifi, big room, luxury toiletries, nice in-room tea & coffee! Nice bar restaurant too with accommodating staff!
