Had a lovely spa day here. Nice pool. Nice treatments. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. And the afternoon tea we had was very nice too. We also went for a little walk across the road and walked along the pier and the view was beautiful

The room allocated to us was comfortable, basic and provided us with all that's required for a couple of nights away with our family dog (Huskamute). The hotel itself is quaint and cosy (typical Lake District style) with absolutely spectacular views across Wasdale valley and beautiful well kept gardens). Plenty of free car parking. The staff were very helpful (offering...

A comfortable and friendly hotel in Nether Wasdale. Ideal as a base for exploring the surrounding area. Superb choice for breakfast. Dinner available although we didn't eat there in the evening. Would definitely stay there again.

The location speaks for itself, peace and quiet. Nether Wasdale is a beautiful tiny village with wonderful walks, and this hotel sits at the top of the hill looking over the fells that surround Wastwater and beyond. It is so quiet and peaceful with a wonderful atmosphere. The room was comfortable and clean and I was very happy to see...

The hotel is nice. The pictures if I'm honest make it look better than it actually is (especially the rooms), but they were clean and tidy and can't complain. The food was great. We ate in the evening and had a nice meal and the breakfast was delicious. Staff very friendly. It is so quiet here we slept with the...

I purchased the spa package with friends and we were all disappointed by the experience. The hotel looks excellent from the outside and the views across the lake are incredible. We ate lunch in the restaurant and despite it being 1pm we were the only diners, meaning the atmosphere was very poor. The only activity was watching staff members restocking...

Returning to Low Wood Hall was like meeting an old friend. Our host was as charming and friendly as ever and happy to accommodate our Spaniel. The Hotel is of a good standard and perfect for a walking break and to explore Wastwater and the western lakes. Packed lunch and late breakfast were all catered for and with a great...

I don't really rate this hotel! It relies heavily on the location and people paying for the gorgeous views of the lake! It is self service for food buffet style which I hate as the food is not as fresh as you would like! There are no free toiletries which given the price of the room is annoying and rooms...

A lovely hotel in a super location. The weather was lovely and the surrounding countryside beautiful. Breakfast was very good and the room was spacious and comfortable. We used the spa. It was quite nice. It is an old hotel but perfectly suitable. We had a back room facing onto a zen garden which was very quiet.
