Would like to take the opportunity to thank Lin and Graham for their warm welcome and hospitality. We came across the school house by chance and although the rooms are comfortable, the amenities were good (WiFi etc) and it's location was great for our needs ( we were attending a Wedding at the Inn on the Lake) with stunning views...

Had a lovely stay at the School House. We had a large room with ensuite and complete dining and sitting room for our own use as no-one else happened to be there. Lyn and Graham were extremely friendly and accommodating. They even supplied us with a plug-in fireplace heater to take the edge off the chilly evening air.

We stayed there during our C2C and appreciated the warm hospitality. Tiny bathrooms and poor bedding unfortunately. We weren't very fond of the omni present Indonesian decor. Lyn and Graham were very sweet and fixed us a great breakfast and packed lunch!

We are doing the coast to coast walk and have had some exceptional hospitality on route so the standard is high and Lyn and Graham certainly lived up to it at School House. The location was excellent and en route for the C2C. Graham gave us great guidance when we were leaving to ensure we headed off in the right...

Run by a lovely couple. Always willing to help and meet your needs. A very comfortable bed and a great place to base yourself for a few days relaxation or walking in the surrounding hills. Definitely recommend booking a wee holiday.

We had previously stayed at the School House Bed and Breakfast in 2013 and we were looked after so well that we returned again in May of this year. We stayed in the room with the four poster bed and the private lounge and it was great to come back to and relax in after hiking Helvellyn and Striding Edge...

This is a wonderful place to stay. Lin and Graham are wonderful hosts very accommodating for an early breakfast as the next day is a long slog uphill. We had our own private lounge with a view to die for and the most amazing bed so comfortable you won't want to get up. It's 5 minutes from the pub which...

We stayed for two nights at this delightful B and B. The decor in our bedroom and attached living room was "Balinese quirky" and exceedingly comfortable. The bathroom was small for a big bloke like me, but any inconvenience was more than made up by the wonderful hospitality of Lin and Graham. We felt quite at home with two delightful...
