We have visited lakeside several times and even though I am extremely lucky to have stayed in some fantastic hotels around the world I can honestly say there us nowhere like lakeside!!!! Many quality hotels offer excellent customer service, great food and nice rooms but nowhere I have ever been makes me feel so relaxed!! An excellent greeting with such...

We had three nights here in March with our 15 month-old son. Located beside Lake Windermere, the views from the conservatory were wonderful. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We got an upgrade to a family room, with a large double bed (queen-sized I think), with bunk beds around the corner of the L-shaped room. Although the...

We last visited this hotel in 2011, but this time we decided to try out one of their two lodges. We arrived late evening and received a warm welcome. Our car was driven around to the lodges private drive, whilst we were given a refresher tour of the hotel. It still has beautiful decor, and a very warm and snug...

This was booked as a surprise for my 30th birthday by my boyfriend and it was the perfect 3 night stay just before Christmas. The stay started off with a massage, just what was needed after a long 4 hour drive and then we had a lovely relaxing swim with no one else around. We ate dinner in both restaurants...

I stayed here near to Christmas for a work function and was really blown away by the whole experience. Upon entering the hotel it felt like stepping back in time but back to an opulent era. The Christmas decor, roaring fires and personal service were exceptional. The view from the conservatory over the lake is amazing and despite it being...

We loved this hotel, it had the right balance between luxury and down to earth (no one looked at me funny in my muddy hiking boots anyway!). The rooms, spa, restaurants were all lovely; would definitely be indulging in the conservatory afternoon tea if we went again. Great location, not too far from the motorway but also a really good...

This was our second trip to lakeside, everything was just as good as it was before. I was planning on proposing to my better half after a visit to the spa and our experience here made it even better. When we arrived we were served fresh coffee and pastries, there was no rush or fuss. Everything was very relaxing. Luckily...

Stayed in the hotel on my Birthday and loved it. Hotel has plenty of public areas, where each is giving different experience - pub, conservatory, restaurant, brasserie, lounge, swimming pool and spa. And outside is even better as the hotel is just on the side of the lake and with unforgettable views, especially during sunset. Staff is very professional but...

Lovely location south end of Lake Windermere with great views and close to the ferry to travel the Lake. Staff very helpful on arrival, even was shown around the hotel before being guided to our room. Room was very pleasant and comfortable. Spa was clean and has lovely pool. Had a massage which was super by Philipa who I wish...
