Had a wonderful long weekend with my wife. The ambience was wonderful, the staff was outstanding and the food was second to none. The decor sweeps from 19th century coaching inn to modern day dining. We highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel right on Lake Windermere, staff are really friendly and welcoming. We went with two infants and they made sure all our requirements were met and accommodated for. Nice swimming pool and hotel is very central to other visitor attractions! Would definitely recommend.

I tell you....you've gotta eat the fish and chips here. We were told that this place is 4*, we weren't disappointed in any way. We ordered the fish & chips and chicken thai salad, both were delicious, freshly cooked.

I believe that more time needs to be spent here than just one night. The Spa looks well run and well equipped with the only downside being the horrible smell of chlorine from the swimming pool. Maybe management will look into building a natural pool as it is apt for this very beautiful lakeside area in which it is situated...

We took a short break at this hotel in early May and had a wonderful time. The hotel is traditional and charming. The staff were helpful and polite. Our room was situated in the "old" part of the hotel overlooking fields and despite it being near to the road, it was very quiet. It was very comfortable, well equipped and...

Beautiful Hotel, stunning views, lovely food and gorgeous room. Had a ground floor room with french doors opening onto a view of the lake. Shame it was in Feb and raining otherwise morning coffee on the patio would have been amazing. It was also a shame I was here on business as this would have been so much more fun...

Accommodation was first class and the staff made you very welcome. Meals were a little expensive but were of a very high quality. Swimming pool was enjoyed by...

Lovely hotel. Only dined here for my grandmas 90th with another 10 members of my family of whom stayed in the hotel and seemed to enjoy it! The menu on the two nights was lovely, and the food did live up to expectations. The waitresses were fab and had a good sense of humour :)

We attended our eldest sons wedding here, both the civil ceremony and reception and we enjoyed a super day in this lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings. The food was fantastic and the service warm and friendly. Although there are cheaper places for a wedding I would wholeheartedly recommend the Lakeside Hotel

A most beautiful hotel for our surprise anniversary. Couldn't fault the service and attentiveness. Only 2 teeny comments. Beds were too soft!!!! The food was beautiful but I thought to add £10 for a dessert to make it into a 3 course meal was a little excessive. But don't let that put you off!
