Booking process was good without any problem. I received an email the next day from the hotel and payment was taken at the hotel during check out. Finding the hotel: GPS picked up the hotel straight way. Found it without any issue Car park: Plenty of car park space which is free to use. Check in: It was very smooth....

We stayed here for a three night break in April to visit the Lake District as well as doing some family history research. The accommodation, food and service could not be faulted. If you want to come to this area, stay at Aynsome Manor - you will not be disappointed. Whilst we were there we visited Beatrix Potter and William...

We stayed here for one night as part of my birthday treat to L'Enclume. We had the loft room which had original oak beams, so if you're tall mind your head! The room was huge, tastefully decorated, with a large comfy bed and good linen, a lovely bathroom with a decent shower. Breakfast was great, with a choice of cereals...

The ambiance, service and food made our Easter weekend perfect, even if the weather was a little inclement!!!! The whole hotel is beautiful, with comfortable rooms to relax in and superb service. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, who are attentive at all times. We shall definitely be returning.

The room was spacious, and had a good sized separate bathroom. You will have to duck in the rooms and elsewhere if you are tall. Breakfast was tasty, only thing not on offer was yoghurt and individual fruit(there was a fruit salad, which varied each day). The evening meal was well prepared and tasty.Service was attentive. On a light and...

We had a spacious room with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was modern, but let down by a weak shower. Breakfast was excellent. The staff were very friendly. A carafe of water in the room would have been welcome.

A real gem of a hotel. Everything about the hotel was first class: warm atmosphere, friendly , helpful staff and excellent food. Would highly recommend this hotel, great value for money. Although not officially in the National park is close to the Southern lakes.

Lovely friendly hotel in a beautiful location. My sister and I stayed here and went to L'Enclume in the evening. The hotel is 1.5 miles from the restaurant and easily walkable (just make sure you use the back lanes, the main road is treacherous to walk along) as long as you're not wearing evening shoes! The hotel has a list...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights In March 2017. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was delicious as was dinner with plenty to chose from together with an extensive wine list. Chris, the host, was attentive and friendly always ready to share some of the history of the house. The hotel is...
