One word - fabulous. We stayed in the deluxe suite which was beautiful. Spotlessly clean with some very sweet Christmas touches here and there. We had the tasting menu in the restaurant in the evening. Staff couldn't have been more attentive, friendly and extremely professional. I am one of those 'fussy eaters' (I don't eat red meat) so I was...

We booked this room as we were dining at the restaurant for our anniversary. Reasonably priced and located in the beautiful village, about a three minute walk to the restaurant. We were in a standard room which was lovely and very quaint. The room was very clean and well equipped. The bed was firm and we even had a tiny...

A perfectly acceptable room for the purposes of an overnight stay. Clean and spacious and smack in the middle of the village and a 3 minute walk to the restaurant of the same name. Bed was huge. Staff friendly enough. Very reasonable indeed when booked as part of a package. Low water pressure was a bit of a pain (...

Located in a small town, we arrived in the evening (very dark) being in a rural area. We saw their restaurant (L'Enclume) on the way and asked for directions. They are not located next to each other. The hotel is not the easiest to spot but just ask around and will find it. Nice small shops around the hotel, free...

We stayed in a superior room over the restaurant itself. The room was large and spacious with lovely beams and a sloping roof. It was decorated to a high standard and spotlessly clean. As part of the L'Enclume experience we received a lovely bottle of sparkling wine and nibbles. My only negative feedback would be that the room is above...

We have stayed a few times before but thus was our first time staying in L'Enclume House. We received a very warm welcome as return guests and were shown to a very lovely first floor room with traditional wooden roof beams and a Juliet balcony overlooking a small and quiet courtyard. The bathroom was large with a shower and a...

Spent two nights in one of the Deluxe rooms overlooking the village square. Huge, huge room with massive bed, desk in window, coffee table and sofas. Beautiful, big bathroom with wet room style shower and free standing bath. Luxuriously homely. Rooms are in different buildings in the village. If you order a morning newspaper you will need to collect it...

My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to get a late cancellation at L'Enclume hotel on a Saturday night and the biggest perk of this was the accompanying restaurant reservation. The room was homely and spacious and the eggs benedict for breakfast in Rogans was the best I've ever had. We can't wait to stay again.

Stayed in the hotel for two nights. It was an interesting room, directly above Rogan and Company restaurant, but we weren't disturbed by any noise. The room was rather dark because the windows are quite cottagy and small, but it had good bathroom facilities and a very comfortable bed. Access was by a spiral iron staircase from an internal courtyard.....the...

I cannot reconcile the awful reviews on this site with our experiences at l'Enclume.Sine my last review we have returned again for lunch and are just booking again for November. I am what I regard as well qualified to critique any restaurant having been in 'The Trade" since the early 80's and we eat out on a regular basis at...
