Travelled 2.5 hours to stay at the High Cross Inn for a 3 night bank holiday weekend break. Checked in and went for some dinner in the restaurant. On returning to our room... the nightmare began! As we sat down the room started to move, literally! I'm not exaggerating when I say that the room was crawling (or jumping) in...

Hello And Thank you for your review. Also Thank you for measuring the bathroom in room 3 for me, I will now order the tiles as I had lost my tape measure. The building is tired and taking a lot of work to bring it back to life. We spend 6 days a week working on it. I apologize if...

My partner and I stayed for two nights at The High Cross Inn, Wednesday 17th August through to Friday 19th. Again, like many other reviewers, we purchased our stay with a Wowcher deal. For what we paid, we felt our experience was worthwhile. Breakfast for both mornings was included in the deal, and it was plentiful. I agree with a...

Had a 3 day B&B break at the Highcross Inn, very friendly staff and good food. The Highcross is dog friendly our 2 small dogs were made welcome a great location with easy reach to the Lake District. We will certainly return. The hotel is being improved on a ongoing plan by the owner who is passionate about customer service.

We have just arrived home after a lovely break with Groupon. Yes it's work ongoing but you can tell what a lovely hotel it's going to be. The room had amazing views, lovely towels, nice clean bathroom, clean bed, good television, what more could you ask for. The food was excellent on both nights and the breakfast more than enough....

We stayed for two nights on a Groupon voucher. The inn itself is in need of some TLC as the building is a bit tired, but the room was clean, the staff very friendly and helpful and the food was good. The location for the South West part of the Lakes was perfect. It is a less commercialised part of...

Myself, partner & small dog have just returned for The High Cross Keys. We wasn't sure what to expect and wasn't knowledgeable of the area. The location has great views out of the room (room 2) but however not a lot around. We drove about 10 minutes and found an amazing beach and on the next day took the hour...

We booked to stay here on the 5th - 7th August with a groupon voucher, we arrived late on the Friday due to traffic and having a tyre problem on my car, I called to inform we would be arriving late, and was informed this would be fine. We eventually arrived about 6.30 pm, we were greeted by a young...
