Booked a three night stay through a deals website and wasn't really expecting that much from the hotel. But boy was I wrong. The rooms are comfortable with good views. Rooms were quiet and we didn't experience any noise from an ongoing wedding at the hotel. Bathroom was clean and towels were great. The restaurant is really good too. Breakfast...

We have just returned from a lovely midweek break at this hotel, benefitting as well from the superb weather. The hotel is in an idyllic setting and our bedroom overlooking the lake was well furnished and equipped. Staff in the dining room were prompt and helpful and the food of a very good quality. There are a few niggles, such...

When you need help when you are away from home, who do you turn to? The hotel?. So when my wife became very ill in the late afternoon, I called Reception and they arranged an ambulance. But the support did not stop there. The duty manager Jeanette came up to the room to provide support whilst we waited. She expressed...

We stayed at this hotel to celebrate our anniversary. We had a corner room with views of the stunning lake and fells and one of the beautiful well kept gardens. The room itself was nice, the king size bed was lovely and comfy. We had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious and a few drinks in the bar afterwards,...

Firstly, let me start with a positive comment. The ladies carrying out the treatments were very professional, and when the fire alarms sounded in the middle of our relaxing massages, once we asked them what was happening & checked if we had to leave the building, they reassured us that it was only a test. They also kindly gave us...

My wife and I booked a weekend trip to this hotel. We set off from London early Friday morning with our two little dogs, we arrived about 13.00 and the room was ready, which was a bonus, the porter took all our gear to the room whilst I parked across the road from the hotel, all very secure and safe....

Stopped here for an impromptu mid walk lunch. Good to see what is clearly a four/five star hotel taking walkers and dogs. Don't understand the reviewer who complained at the prices charged. What do you expect, thirty bob all in? The setting on the, (immaculate), lawn in front of the hotel, shielded from passing traffic by a hedge, waiter service...

We visited December 2014 for a 3 night stay over the New Year Period, entertainment offered i.e. Murder Mystery was extremely entertaining, food was just so delicious, staff friendly and efficient. Our room was very nice, bed very comfortable and en suite quite a large size. I would highly recommend this hotel, will certainly return one day.

Lovely chilled time, looked for a deal price on the internet then rang the hotel direct and got same deal over the phone which was scones with tea/coffee on arrival or a time to suit us but had to be before 5pm ,leisure facilities were free and a bit basic but recommend to book a free 20 minute slot in...

This hotel really rates itself, but I don't! As a colleague said it is the first hotel he has been too with a free sauna in every room. Their vegetarian options are good on paper, but the gnocchi was almost inedible and the goat's cheese tart was overbaked. The 'cucumber sorbet' was ice-cream and tasted strange. Even the Wi-Fi was...
