Weekends are dreadfull due to noise from events room. Noise from outside bad too as guest makes noise when outside entrance, road noise bad too. Food very basic and rooms are too. Not the best hotel however the staff are very friendly and obliging. Drinks a bit dear considering the hotel.

It's really interesting reading some of the management responses for reviews of this hotel - as they seem to centre around the fact that you get what you pay for. I paid over £80 for my room last night - to be fair the room was Ok and the wifi was good, the food however is horrendous. I had tomato...

The hotel looks modern & very presentable from the outside. Reception staff were generally helpful. I had a single room on the first floor. It was bright & adequately equipped but it had a very musty, damp smell. I complained about this but was told one of the receptionists had checked the room & couldn't detect any smell. So much...

Dear Guest Thank you for your comments. Sorry if you found the bedroom musty unfortunately we were full on the night and no other bedroom to move you to. We should really have used our initiative and obtained a fragrance plug in if needed as by you comments you found it irritating. My apologies that this failed to happen.A number...

Dirty, worn out, disgusting food, no point complaining looking at other reviews as the manager will come back and defend this dirty hole. Morning breakfast was disappointing, waitress picked up cardboard door stop and placed it where she was cutting toast, and carried on doing toast. Electrical appliances over there safety check as per photo. No plugs by the bed.......

I visited this hotel with about 50 other people on a coach trip with the excellent Newmarket Travel company. Check-in was quick and efficient and the room was clean and roomy, with drinks facilities and trouser press etc. The bathroom was very clean but as the room was on the 2nd floor the water pressure was poor and the shower...

Dear Guest Pleased overall you enjoyed your time with us. The 70th Birthday party and your dinner location in the Trafalgar Suite on the second night had no bearing at all on the food service. The time for the 70 th birthday which was a finger buffet was 9.00 and your booking was for 7.30 so you would have finished...

I have stayed here for 4 nights (no choice) and the breakfast is beyond disgusting. Whilst the service is incredibly poor and intermittent, the situation is made worse by under-cooked food such as sausages -raw in fact - together with blood traces on fried eggs. Don't expect any level of service or indeed for the one and only waitress to...

Dear Guest What utter fiction. We are well aware of your visit because of the complaints from the team regarding the shouting and abuse given to the receptionist by yourself, witnessed on the third morning of your visit. All of which was unwarranted, and the Duty Manager who is F&B Services Manager had to intervene. We have zero tolerance of...

We paid quite a high price for this hotel as we booked on the day of staying after being unable to find anywhere else as other hotels were charging an extortionate amount (but we did get breakfast included). On arrival, there was a little bit of a wait to check in which was completely understandable as they appeared to have...

Dear Guest I have checked our records you stayed for three nights and booked via a third party agent at a very competitive rate. I have stayed many times before in this hotel and always find the staff very welcoming, particularly on this visit as I had chronic migraine and the receptionists were very considerate providing water, a seat and an early readiness for my room.
