Excellent value for money. Was given No 12 which was a well furnished small double or generous single. Very comfortable with really thick curtains. The bathroom was spotless. A nice touch were the trendy TeaPigs and Fair Trade coffee. A trouser press was provided. The only negative were the horrid dirty window frames. The top sash did not open. The... More

After a morning out in the Cheshire countryside we decided to find somewhere for lunch. We drove round for ages and went in a couple of places that seemed unsuitable for the four of us. Finally we arrived, frazzled and hungry, in Tarporley . We had now decided to eat in the first pub we came across that was selling... More

Stayed here overnight whilst visiting friends in the area. All excellent - rooms were comfortable, in keeping with the building, clean and well presented. Lunch was tasty and good value and a delicious breakfast. Most of all the service was excellent. - nothing was too much trouble, there was always someone to ask and always a friendly response. Could not... More

We stayed here on Sunday 2nd August for CarFest North. I had emailed earlier this year to ask for an early check in and this wasn't a problem. We arrived at 12.30pm and checked without delay. You are required to pay for your room when you check in which is no problem and we enquired about the route we should... More

Discovered this gem by accident whilst escaping our own hotel! Food was excellent (try the giant scotch eggs & roast chicken), rooms had lots of secluded seating areas & a good beer garden area out back. It also appears to be massively dog friendly! If you're looking for good food & a place to stay, I can highly recommend giving... More

Rooms are very nice although a bit warm but nicely finished. Parking available at the back of the hotel. Reataurant food quite expensive for what it was, to be fair. Breakfast was a bit on the meagre side for a hungry man, ok for my wife and kids but I would Like more that 1 egg, 1 slice of toast,... More

We went for the mixed roast dinner which has slabs of roast pork and beef....the beef is to die for, cooked pink and melts in the mouth, the pork was delicious also, not dry at all but I think on my next visit I will go for...
