Nunsmere Hall sits in beautiful grounds and countryside. The gardens and the Hall are beautiful and well maintained. We stayed in the Pine Room which was large but the room had seen better days. The room was not entirely clean; the towel rail was not working and the shower temperature regulator almost burnt me because it was either very, very...

We booked a one night stay with dinner via Secret Escapes and there were 4 of us (2 couples). The hotel is a beautiful old stately home, set in lovely gardens. The rooms are all very individual and extremely spacious and comfortable - we booked the Exec rooms. Evening dinner was excellent - great choice and very good quality -...

Well I had to come on business and instead of faceless chain I thought I would try something different. Looks great from the outside inside stuck in a time warp. Very poor wifi and mobile reception. Went to room and opened window for fresh air and the windows are literally rotting in place. Went or get some food told I...

Given a room in the eaves that's use was inaccessible from one side. Dinner main course was inedible but no replacement meal was offered. Breakfast was said to be finished at 10.30 but at 9.30 there was no food left, no glasses or cups for drinks and no staff to be found due to the demands of the numbers involved...

My girlfriend really isn't into the motorbike racing and the thought of camping for her sends her into a panic. We made a compromise that we could go watch the superbikes but we had to stay in a hotel. This place was the perfect location, being just a few minutes drive from Oulton Park race track. This place went well...

If I could give a 4.5 rating I would as it was virtually there. We stayed in the Petunia room (changed from Clematis after reading TA reviews). The staff were great, very warm and friendly and nothing was good much trouble. I loved the doorman who really wanted to go out of his way to help you. The meals are...

Attended my step-sons wedding here 16th April - The place on the outside looks good but on looking closer the place is a little old now, although we had 85+ guests (which the hotel knew in advance) the bar was staffed by one person. This was during the day and the evening too. The meal was slow in being served,...

We arrived at 12.30 but rooms were not ready so popped to farm shop down the road well worth a visit, we walked the grounds of the hotel which were lovely. After checking in we had afternoon tea which was very good with plenty of extra tea or coffee on request. Dinner was very good, beautifully presented food although we...
