First off I would like to comment on some of the previous reviews. Yes its stairs are wonky and some of the beams are a little low. Its an Elizabeathan property, built in 1585 for gods sake ! Oh and guess what the walls aren't totally straight and they have these weird bits of wood in them !! Its Elizabethan.......

I was expecting more from this hotel. Very dated rooms and poor quality fixtures and fittings in some. Broken blinds, stained carpets. The room service menu displayed dishes incorrectly. Bad/non existent wifi. Absolutely no sound proofing between rooms.

We got married on 27th November 2016 & chose the Crown after looking at a number of potential wedding venues in the South Cheshire area. From the initial visits the Crown always had the edge & from a personal view point I had attended a number of different events in the ballroom at the Crown & had fond memories as...

We ate here a couple of evenings. The food was excellent and reasonable value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very pleasant ambience and setup. We had steaks, pasta, duck and pasta, a good range of dishes.

Lovely Atmosphere, although an old building my room had been tastefully renovated and everything works. Comfortable bed, nice bar and food well prepared. Very handy for my business calls. Staff mostly ok.

Lovely food good service and very friendly staff but slightly disappointed when I asked for a children's menu to be told they don't have a child's menu. They were willing to convert a adults meal to a child's meal but at adult price so we didn't feel that aspect of the meal was value for money.

We have visited the Crown many times and had our pre Xmas family lunch there yesterday. The food was really good but the service left a lot to be desired. Service was slow ( to be expected on Xmas eve) however we were rushed as if they wanted us to leave. One member of staff (middle aged lady with blonde...

The Crown was an excellent venue for my party on the 18 December. The service we received from start to finish was excellent and thorough and no request was too much trouble. The food served was of a high quality with a vegetarian option. Some of my guests stayed overnight and were pleased with their accommodation, easy access from the...

Went to a birthday party here tonight, function room upstairs, nice place, clean and tidy, there is a bar in the function room, had some hot food served which was very nice, and listened to a very good band playing, plenty of staff to serve food and drinks, they have got it right here, well done, keep up the good...

This was our second visit. We walked out the first time after waiting ages to be served. Today we waited nearly 10 mins at lunchtime (12am), to be served. The girl behind the bar walked past us with no acknowledgment and never reappeared! There were other staff laying up, but no one approached us. We walked out. Will not try...

Hi Aphrodite and thanks for reviewing us. We don't operate a table service in the Bar area unfortunately so apologies if no-one came to explain this. We are usually fairly quiet at around 12pm when we were open so a member of staff should've been more attentive. There are many good food outlets in and around Nantwich and i hope...
