Arrived after dark and a little tricky to find ... would be useful beforehand to know that I could park in the large yard next door! The accommodation was in a bungalow at the back of the house and was large, warm and comfortable. In the daylight I could see that this was a working farm with stables. It struck...

Lovely peaceful quiet location on a working farm. Very nice clean and comfortable en-suite accomodation in a small unit off the farm house. A traditional tasty farmhouse breakfast was served in the farmhouse itself. Wonderful place to stay, despite a problem with the heating which was solved very efficiently we had a terrific stay here, just the sort of place...

Simple accommodation that is clean and tidy. Setting is lovely although signal is less than perfect. Very friendly owner who makes an excellent home cooked breakfast. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you are on a budget.

Nestling down a country lane in deepest Cheshire, Balterley Green Farm offers a real alternative to the corporate/chain type hotel. A warm welcome and wonderful cooked breakfasts are the ideal start to the day in this rural idyll, where the pace of life all around is a refreshing reminder that there are also alternatives to city life. Delightful country walks...

Room was very small and very worn. Dirty with cobwebs, sheets were marked, cups were dirty and kettle was full of limescale and what appeared tp be green mould. Bathroom stank of cigarette smoke and was disgusting. Hard towels. Breakfast was swimming with water. For £20 more could have stayed at a main hotel but prefer to given independent the...
