#5 of 10 hotels in Crewe
A superb 17th century hotel located in Crewe in Cheshire. This Grade I listed building has been attracting refined guests since the 17th century, including our current monarch Queen Elizabeth II. This hotel is a fine mix of historic Jacobean and sharp 21st century architecture. The magnificent history oozes throughout the hotel from exquisite marble fireplaces to stained glass windows. Yet the contemporary edge of Crewe Hall can be found throughout the hotel from the revolving bar in the brasserie to the state-of-the-art leisure club. The hotel has 117 spacious, comfortable bedrooms, some are located in the historic old building but majority can be found in the new contemporary wing. Just minutes from the M6 motorway, Crewe Hall is only 24 miles from Chester’s sights and shops and close to Liverpool and Manchester.Crewe Hall is home to a modern conference and events centre. It is very impressive with both it's facilities and service that we offer you. Modern facilities, free Wi-Fi, extensive grounds and a meetings package that gives you total piece of mind, whether you’re brainstorming with the team or delivering an important message, Crewe Hall makes meetings easy.

Having seen this hotel on line we thought we would spoil ourselves,we were looking forward to seeing our new granddaughter.Little did we know how throughly disapointed we would be with our stay.We were shocked to find a filthy carpet icluding woodlice on it,cobwebs everywhere on the lights in the aircon vents, filthy stained net curtains. On to the bathroom, absolutely disgusting, did not want to use it,but after an eight hour journey we felt we had no choice.Walls, ceiling, tiles, light pull ,shower curtain all dirty.

I spent last week worrying about our 2 night stay in Crewe Hall this weekend for our daughter's wedding after reading the reviews on here. I needn't of bothered because everything was handled brilliantly. Everyone can find faults if they look hard enough. Check-in was quick, efficient and friendly. Our room in the new part was a good size, clean and had a wonderful shower. Some of our friends were in the old part of the building and they all said their rooms were great. We ate in the Brasserie on Friday evening, the service was friendly, the food was excellent and they provided gluten free meals without a fuss ( we had rung for advice prior to the evening). We had a lovely evening. The wedding itself was fantastically organised by Sarah and Andrew. Attention to detail and an abundance of staff to attend to anything you may need. Again the food was fantastic, dietary requirements were well catered for. The evening buffet was well presented and great too. We had asked for a room to have breakfast with any wedding guests who stayed over and Crewe Hall puled out all the stops. The room was laid up perfectly again when we arrived at 8.30 with a full range of breakfast foods, plentiful tea, coffee and juices. It was lovely way to end the weekend. Check out was painless and quick. Well done Crewe Hall staff!. I would say don't be put off by the negative comments and judge for yourself.

100% recommend the treatments at Crewe Hall. The staff were so friendly and professional. I had the back, neck and shoulders and a facial which was amazing. I was so relaxed I fell asleep in the relaxation room. Would definitely come back again.

I stayed here for business. The room I got was in the west wing. It is a very long walk from reception especially if you have a rolling bag and the lift arrangement is a bit tricky - they do hand you a map when you check in, but better signage would have been preferable. I ordered room service. That was painful. I had to phone multiple times before I got an answer. I know that others had a similar experience. On the plus side when the food arrived it was great. The shower was very underpowered. The service from reception was poor. The setting is very special but the experience didn’t live up to it.

Crewe Hall is an awesome setting with fabulous reception, entrance etc...it's just a shame that pooer seervice and attitude ruined my short visit. I arrived at 1830 and was told by reception that I didn't need to book the restaurant, just walk own to the bar...so I did that around 15 minutes later only to be met by a stroppy maitre'd (I'm flattering him with that title) that may as well told me to F*** off... I ordered "room service", as really didn't want to drive any further to get dinner, and had to wait at the bar and take it to my room myself. A really bad attitude from one person makes such a difference, just don't need it when I've had a busy day and just want to relax.
