We visited Cliveden House yesterday for afternoon tea. We arrived early and were warmly welcomed by Anna. Prior to tea we walked in the beautiful grounds and then Anna kindly showed us the main rooms of the House. One room was being prepared for an intimate wedding. The flowers (by Russell) were stunning. Afternoon Tea was delicious and our dietary...

We really enjoyed our visit to this property. It was on a Saturday so there were lots of people there, but car parking was well marshaled and directions everywhere very clear. The house is very impressive, as is the great view at the back. We walked down to the Thames and then back up via the steep steps - these...

The 375 acres of wonderful ground look fantastic throughout the year and it sounds like you had a fantastic time - I will pass your kind words on to the National Trust. Best wishes Kevin Brooke

The house, which used to be owned by the Astors is in beautiful grounds with a fine walled garden including stylish topiary, a parterre with a fine view over the grounds and surrounding countryside. There are various paths (some steep and muddy, some just steep) down to the River Thames and the old Boathouse and the Spring Cottage. There were...

We were celebrating a birthday and this hotel complimented our celebration wonderfully. The staff were welcoming and the gardens outstanding. We stayed in a junior suite and dined in the Andre Garrett restaurant. Both were fabulous. A sense of calm prevails, thus creating a very relaxed environment for the guests.

We had a perfect table by the window with a view over the parterre and countryside beyond. Service was immaculate and we were touched by the fact that an anniversary card was on our table and our waiter immediately wished us a happy anniversary as we were seated. We chose from the set menu which is reasonably priced and the...

Never mind the hotel, do go to Cliveden to see the grounds and at this time of the year it is snowdrops. After a late start they are now in full bloom. The best places to see are on the back path - walk through the Long Garden and turn right - or in the woods around the Athletic route....

Dear bryan490 The Cliveden grounds do look fantastic throughout the year but people do come from far and wide to see the snowdrops and bluebells. If you stay at the hotel you can of course enjoy the peaceful beauty of the gardens when the day visitors to the grounds have gone home. Thank you for your review. Kind regards Kevin...
