Having messed up a booking we booked very, very last minute for the Ethorpe. We were met by Ben who was both friendly and excellent in helping us out, even showing us to the room. The attached chef and brewer staff were all very friendly too, and after a very comfortable stay we had a good Sunday breakfast. Definitely recommended.

We booked to stay here as we were going to a concert at Wembley. We got back at 10:55 pm and they refused to serve us a drink. Particularly disappointing as they were in the process of serving a local at the time. My experience of hotels is they serve residents later...this place does not and there is nowhere nearby...

We stayed at the Ethorpe for 2 nights and found it overpriced compared to other hotels we stayed at previously in the area, which is a shame as the setting was perfect. The tea and coffee service in the room was poor, as well as had broken fixtures and water damage on the ceiling. It is in need of tlc...

My first visit in 20 years...popped in on a nostalgia visit whilst in the area. Pleasantly surprised by the changes. A lovely dinner..had a sharing platter followed by a steak & pan fried bass with shrimp risotto.

Stayed here for one night for work, it was ok but bit pricey compared to other hotels. The room was basic and no water or biscuits which i thought i would get for the rate. Staff very friendly and eager to be helpful so no complaints there. Parking just outside so perfect for families, lone travelers and reduced mobility, reception...

Ethorpe staff were welcoming at midnight after spending hours traveling from Hearthrow by train. Room is spacious. Good desk for laptop. Bed very comfortable. If you have difficulty with stairs, ask for a first floor room. Morning breakfast more than adequate. Starts before 7:30. Chef and Brewer pub attached to hotel serves good food and drinks. Eat in the pub,...

I stay at the Ethorpe on a regular basis for business and find the hotel to be of a high standard, being the perfect location for access to London / Heathrow and the M25. Rooms are always spotless and the bar / restaurant offers a great variety. Cheryl on front desk / reception is an asset to the hotel and Chef&Brewer...

A very attractive and friendly period hotel, providing excellent accommodation and excellent fare. Staff were brilliant and very attentive. Thank you for everything. Most impressed! Rooms are well provided for, with all necessary facilities. Loads of parking for guests and very close to all Gerrards Cross high street.

We expected more based on the hotel's website. We got a room facing the beer garden. The shouting was a bit disturbing, but fortunately it stopped at about 23.00. We paid 100 pounds for a night excluding breakfast. A complimentary breakfast would have put me in a better mood, but the room was clean and there were extra pillows. That...
