Stayed for two nights in September 2016. Great place to start the driving holiday in UK. Food at the hotel was very good including the full English breakfast. Rooms were standard, nothing special but as only use them to sleep it was fine. Clean and worth the visit in this century old hotel

The Ethorpe was a great place back in the day. Now it is famously the place that let's the area down. It really needs a lot of investment and frankly a new owner. It's sad to see a place in such a prominent position being so neglected. Not enough staff and desperately in need of restyling.

This was my second visit in a couple of weeks. The first occasion was pleasant and the food very nice. On this visit however I cannot say the same. The restaurant was very busy so the service was slower which is to be expected. The drinks were promptly delivered and our order taken by a waiter who was very nice...

We stayed here on a Sunday night. The prices are competitive for the area. The rooms are adequate without offering anything exceptional however the hotel does appear to have plenty of parking despite its central location. Breakfast is purchased as an optional extra as accommodation is based on room only. The continental breakfast was a bit disappointing not really living...

Having messed up a booking we booked very, very last minute for the Ethorpe. We were met by Ben who was both friendly and excellent in helping us out, even showing us to the room. The attached chef and brewer staff were all very friendly too, and after a very comfortable stay we had a good Sunday breakfast. Definitely recommended.

We booked to stay here as we were going to a concert at Wembley. We got back at 10:55 pm and they refused to serve us a drink. Particularly disappointing as they were in the process of serving a local at the time. My experience of hotels is they serve residents later...this place does not and there is nowhere nearby...

We stayed at the Ethorpe for 2 nights and found it overpriced compared to other hotels we stayed at previously in the area, which is a shame as the setting was perfect. The tea and coffee service in the room was poor, as well as had broken fixtures and water damage on the ceiling. It is in need of tlc...

My first visit in 20 years...popped in on a nostalgia visit whilst in the area. Pleasantly surprised by the changes. A lovely dinner..had a sharing platter followed by a steak & pan fried bass with shrimp risotto.

Stayed here for one night for work, it was ok but bit pricey compared to other hotels. The room was basic and no water or biscuits which i thought i would get for the rate. Staff very friendly and eager to be helpful so no complaints there. Parking just outside so perfect for families, lone travelers and reduced mobility, reception...

Ethorpe staff were welcoming at midnight after spending hours traveling from Hearthrow by train. Room is spacious. Good desk for laptop. Bed very comfortable. If you have difficulty with stairs, ask for a first floor room. Morning breakfast more than adequate. Starts before 7:30. Chef and Brewer pub attached to hotel serves good food and drinks. Eat in the pub,...
