We were given a gift voucher for dinner bed and breakfast at the hotel which we confirmed with them in July 2016. 4 days before the visit I was called to say the voucher may no longer be valid as the hotel recently had split from a gifting company. I would have hoped that if this split had only happened... More

Jill M, Thank you for your subjective review following your recent visit. I am so sorry that you had a disturbed night’s sleep and your stay was less than perfect. The Fire Alarm was activated due to a guest bathroom having been flooded in the early hours of the morning, with water pouring through the ceiling, by a smoke detector,... More

The hotel, is in a central location in Buckingham, friendly staff, large rooms, free secure parking and quite nice toiletries as well as a decent cooked breakfast are the good points. I stayed for two nights and the negatives could be fixed but I had no hot water on the first morning, the free internet did not work, hair in... More

We stayed here with friends last Wednesday and Thursday, the deal was advertised by Travel Zoo and included dinner, bed and breakfast and tickets to a choice of nearby attractions. We had previously used the Hotel three years ago.All the staff were very efficient and friendly, the rooms were clean and well furnished. The food when we visited last time was good... More

Attended venue for meal and function. Whilst what food we had was nice one bowl of vegetables between 10 was unacceptable as was the 2 hours it took to serve 3 courses. Waiting staff had to be told what to do and most seemed very inexperienced. Very old fashioned, curtains faded and dirty, carpet needs replacing and toilets were like... More

This was a Take That tribute dinner dance in the Villiers Ballroom which I agree is a bit old fashioned but certainly clean as a whistle. I quite enjoyed the do and our table thought the food excellent - superb Rustic Pate starter, Steak main course and Creme brulée (with a really crunchy top) The evening started at 7.30pm in... More

We arrived for Sunday Lunch with was very good, Salmon Rillette tasty and the traditional Roast Beef nicely served and supported by 5 veg, a good and tasty plateful. Panacotta to follow also hit the spot. Two downsides we wre the only party at lunch in a big dining-room albeit the adjacent bar was busy with snacks etc. and service... More

We enjoy a great two night break at the Villers Hotel. The food was great and there was the bonus of two free sightseeing tickets for the Oxford Hop On/Off bus tour. It is excellent value for money and we would certainly recommend it to friends.

Room is very spacious, service was excellent. Bed was a bit too soft for us, but managed to sleep through whole night. I agree with some of the reviews here that it needs a bit of updating, but I understand that the hotel holds a lot of wedding receptions, it might be a bit tricky to close off part of... More

I recently stayed here for a work trip and the room was fine (very dim lighting as mentioned by another reviewer), but my main issue was with the food. I had the vegetarian savoury crumble, and whilst it was very tasty the portion size was minuscule. A small ramekin-dish sized portion of crumble, with a couple of pieces of sprouting... More
