Regular visitor to this lovely old inn in Old Amersham. Great for light lunches or main meals. Healthy (large) portions served by very friendly staff beside a roaring log fire when the weather warrants it.

Spent 2 nights in a room that wasn't the cleanest. Sheets and towels clean but ensuite needed to be blitzed with some Mr Muscle or similar cleaner. The only place to hang anything up was a cupboard full of folding beds. However, breakfast was hot and not greasy and plentiful.

Classic Chilterns pub with fantastic staff, great breakfast. Ideal overnight on route to Heathrow, with comfortable en suite bedrooms. We felt it was also suitable for families as it had a great, friendly atmosphere. 8/10 will visit again.

Had the pleasure recently to stay at one of the best pubs / inns I've ever experienced - The Saracen's Head in Amersham. The pub is genuine, cosy and extremely friendly while my room was warm, clean and very comfortable. The highlight, though, is The Saracen's larger than life landlord, Kerry. He'll extend you the warmest welcome in the Chilterns...

Very smart room. The staff are all wonderful characters and the breakfast was nothing short of first class. You are made to feel so very welcome in a proper style old fashioned traditional pub. A very easy recommendation to make.

We stayed only 1 night but was made very welcome. Full cooked breakfast was very good. The cottage we stayed in was lovely and clean and as it was quite cold outside heating was on to make us feel welcome. Bed comfortable and was able to make a cuppa. The only thing was we only had 1 hand towel but...

My mother and I spent 10 wonderful days staying in this traditional country inn tucked away down a side street in Old Amersham. Kerry and all the staff were terrific, they made us feel so welcome and were genuinely interested in all our exploits as we visited friends in the local area. The boys behind the bar were terrific and...

We wanted to be near Old Amersham for family history reasons and the Saracen's Head Inn worked out very well for us. Arrived in the middle of Sunday Roast lunch so could not have lunch there due to being fully booked. Dinner that night at Indian place across the street - Spice Society. Very good. As mentioned in other reviews,...

I booked three nights stay and paid in advance however after traveling up from malmesbury we were horrified to find that even tho they had received out booking on line , we were not booked in and they were completely full . The owner was away on holiday and I did feel very sorry for James the barman, who was great...

I've stayed there for a couple of nights recently. The room was clean (also cleaned up everyday) and the room was comfortable. However there was not a mini fridge in the room as described on their website. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good. The location is also really good as it's in Old Amersham

Thank Artur L

The Saracen’s Head Inn is steeped in history and character and was built using timbers from old ships.
