We stayed at the Inn at Solitude while our family members rented condos inside the complex. This resort is truly special- smaller, low key, and everyone was so helpful! Skiing was amazing, no lift lines at all, great eating options on site. Rental shop guys and gals were super helpful and took their time to answer our questions and make...

The inn is connected to the ski lifts and across from the ski rental shop. So very convenient. And the views of the snow covered mountains are terrific. But the rooms are nothing special. Dark and drabby. Thin walls. Low water pressure and you 'compete' for hot water at times.

This place has a small neighborhood feel, great skiing and decent restaurants. My only complaint was the small pizza place was completely unprepared to serve morning coffee and make breakfast sandwiches. Workers need to be trained wearing gloves and changing gloves when handling money. This morning I ordered a coffee and egg sandwich which the coffee was cold the worker...

We should have known it would be bad when the reservation we made was not honored. We arrived later in the evening since our plane was delayed. We had reserved a King bed large room, and were offered a 2 queen bed room. Both my husband and I complained- not raising our voices, but just like civilized people--and kept saying...

The location is great, and the views are awesome. They also have a nice spa. That's about it for the good news. As far as being a hotel, it's pretty mediocre. The walls between rooms are paper thin; every morning I could hear the conversations the family in the next room was having. The restaurant serves bad quality, overpriced food...

There's not only lots to do here (e.g., hiking, mountain biking,), but staying at the hotel showed what excellent customer service is all about. The front desk people were very helpful with ideas about what to do, where to go and sightseeing. Nothing was too much for them. The hotel also offers complimentary valet parking-very much appreciated!

Quiet place, great for hiking. Shopping is very limited. Gym is good. It seems to be ideal for small conventions. Solitude is about 40 minutes from Salt Lake City. The food in the hotel was great. There are more activities in the winter.

I read reviews on this place so I gave it a try. It was wonderful, quiet, beautiful views and large room. We ate at the restaurant next door, the Honetcomb Grill , and it was delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We were here in the off season I'm sure during the ski season it isn't as peaceful.

Ok... it was the end of the season, but the stay was disappointing. We got in late, due to flight delay, and was very hard to find. People on phone were not overly helpful. Luckily we asked if there was any late dining as there is nothing open after 9:00 so at least we knew to stop in Salt Lake...

Arrived Thursday afternoon, just in time for a beer on the sun soaked patio and view of the ski area. This was a Snowbird and Alta two day ski vacation in the other canyon! Turns out the quiet and charm of the bigger canyon was worth the drive. Our only regret was not planning a longer stay so we could...
