My husband and I spent a wonderful afternoon and evening at the farm. The house is incredibly well taken care of and it is very quiet as promised! The alpacas are very friendly and sweet just like the host! We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Maine. This is a hidden gem, away from the busy...

We were visiting the area Labor Day weekend and chose this B&B although we generally are not B&B people. It was nicely situated for us being a short drive from both Lewiston and Freeport. The room was comfortable, clean and nicely appointed in a traditional fashion. The main house for breakfast was also very nice. No information about the historic...

Jim and Maryann were gracious hosts for my extended family group of 11 people. We had 5 rooms between us and had run of the carriage house. It couldn't have been better for us! Because we were visiting for the Dempsey Challenge, Jim accommodated our schedule and made breakfast sandwiches to go and Maryanne baked treats for us in the...

We landed at Boston airport the day before and had not slept well the first night of our holiday. We wanted somewhere handy to see the coast of Maine and shop in Freeport. So after a bit of research we booked The Royalsborough Inn for 2 nights. What a find. The room was in a very well appointed 3 bedroomed...

The Royalsborough Inn is roughly 20 from Freeport, Brunswick, and Lewiston, so a convenient center if you are going in multiple directions. It's away from almost anything -- a plus or a minus depending on what want. The rooms are lovely, and ours was spacious through the bath was tiny. Our room had a gas stove, which would have been...

A well-appointed B and B just outside of Freeport, Maine. We found our room to be very comfortable and spacious, well-maintained. Our room was on the high side compared to most of the other rooms in the inn ($155 which included a very good breakfast), but we thought it was in line with what the room and inn offered and...

This was a great find on our way up to Acadia. We had a big room for us and our two kids and they loved meeting the goats and chickens and alpacas and even an angora rabbit. Breakfast was wonderful and Jim and Maryann were the perfect hosts. They were so nice to talk to, really great with our kids...

Our room was homey and comfortable. The house was beautiful and the "inn-keepers" were extremely friendly and welcoming. We had a great evening in the Durham suite and it was a neat touch that we were on a farm as well! It is conveniently close to Freeport, but far enough removed as to miss all the tourist commotion (big bonus!)....

We had a great time at Royalsborough inn. The rooms were nicely maintained. The breakfast was terrific. infact we had to ask them to reduce a few things as we were unable to have so much! And it was all home cooked style, so felt very nice. Jim and Marryane were great hosts and made us feel welcome. The farm...
