We landed at Boston airport the day before and had not slept well the first night of our holiday. We wanted somewhere handy to see the coast of Maine and shop in Freeport. So after a bit of research we booked The Royalsborough Inn for 2 nights. What a find. The room was in a very well appointed 3 bedroomed...

The Royalsborough Inn is roughly 20 from Freeport, Brunswick, and Lewiston, so a convenient center if you are going in multiple directions. It's away from almost anything -- a plus or a minus depending on what want. The rooms are lovely, and ours was spacious through the bath was tiny. Our room had a gas stove, which would have been...

A well-appointed B and B just outside of Freeport, Maine. We found our room to be very comfortable and spacious, well-maintained. Our room was on the high side compared to most of the other rooms in the inn ($155 which included a very good breakfast), but we thought it was in line with what the room and inn offered and...

This was a great find on our way up to Acadia. We had a big room for us and our two kids and they loved meeting the goats and chickens and alpacas and even an angora rabbit. Breakfast was wonderful and Jim and Maryann were the perfect hosts. They were so nice to talk to, really great with our kids...

Our room was homey and comfortable. The house was beautiful and the "inn-keepers" were extremely friendly and welcoming. We had a great evening in the Durham suite and it was a neat touch that we were on a farm as well! It is conveniently close to Freeport, but far enough removed as to miss all the tourist commotion (big bonus!)....

We had a great time at Royalsborough inn. The rooms were nicely maintained. The breakfast was terrific. infact we had to ask them to reduce a few things as we were unable to have so much! And it was all home cooked style, so felt very nice. Jim and Marryane were great hosts and made us feel welcome. The farm...

After reading the ads and reviews I didn't expect such a mediocre place to put it nicely. We felt ripped off so I waited a long time to review The Royalsborough Inn in order to "chill", that I wouldn't vent my totally bad feelings; we made the best of the rest of our time as we only had a weekend...

We stayed a week with Jim and Marianne in September 2012. They made delicious from scratch breakfasts plus helped us to figure out what sightseeing we would do each day. Our bedroom was large and comfortable – had a gas fireplace which we used when the weather turned cool in the evenings. One day Jim took us into the yard...

My husband and I booked an overnight to break up the drive to our yearly camping trip in Maine. The Royalsborough Inn is the perfect place to rest and unwind. The room was very clean and comfortable with special touches like handmade soap in the bathroom and soft alpaca rugs by the bedside. You can look out the window and...
