I'm not sure Jim likes people coming here, just my opinion, I did not feel very welcomed. Be warned the stairs to the upstairs rooms in the main house are very steep and narrow, so we decided not to lug our suitcases up. We arrived at night and this place is not lit up very well so coming in was...

I am sorry that you were so unhappy with your stay. I wish that you would have shared your disappointment with me personally. We do not have a license to serve wine. I thought since you were having tea that the muffins were appropriate. The house is old and we are proud of the history. Many of our guest visit...

We enjoyed a comfortable stay, delicious breakfasts & a very clean room. The sheep & alpaca farm on the premises was an entertaining benefit! The Durham area is a quiet respite from the bustling town of Freeport, with its outlet shops & L.L. Bean store. We ate at the Tuscan Brick Oven Bistro in Freeport which was delicious!

We stayed in the Durham Room, very comfortable and cozy. The breakfasts are simply top flight and yum, and Jim and Maryanne are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions. We enjoyed communing with the farm animals. A very comfortable place to stay, the hospitality couldn't be better!

The host was very kind and made you feel like you were just a friend in his home. The historic 1728 home is just as it is described. You will find that it is very conveniently located to town where you have endless options for dining and shopping. Activities in the area are plentiful and if you get board you...

We had a comfortable stay at this B&B. The home was decorated tastefully with period furnishings and our room was very comfortable. Bedrooms have AC. The owners encouraged guests to visit with their animals including Alpacas, goats, chickens and sheep. Breakfast consisted of juices, coffee, fruit, (fresh strawberries and pineapple), homemade cinnamon roll, french toast with Maine Maple Syrup and...

We visited Jim and Marianne's beautiful and adorable inn during this year's lobster festival. We loved the ambience, the countryside farm and the simple and caring gestures of the inn-owners. The rooms are clean and decorated with all the love and care. The breakfast was yummy especially Marianne's blueberry muffin!!..Definitely a must stay in Maine. Will surely want to visit...

We spent a weekend in home-like comfort. Jim and Marianne were kind, hospitable and accommodating. The homemade morning breakfasts were delicious. The room in the carriage house where we stayed was spacious, comfortable, bright and clean. We lacked none of the comforts of home. The main part of the carriage house had a room with a TV, games, a dining...

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night on our way to Bar Harbor. We loved that it was off the beaten trail and how friendly the inn keepers and other guests were. This is what a B&B should be!!! We also loved the animals and surrounding countryside. It's easy to get to and the antique furnishings made me...

This past weekend I enjoyed my second stay at the Royalsborough Inn while in Maine for a Parent's Weekend. Just as last year the accommodations were most comfortable and the owners, Marianne and Jim, were wonderful hosts. I stayed in the "Cozy Nook," and while it does not have an en suite bathroom, it does have a bathroom for the...
