Everything about our experience was just so WONDERFUL! Bob and Caroline really do things right! The accommodations are very well kept and very clean. The grounds are beautiful. A peaceful place to read and think all day. The snorkeling is amazing. Some of the best we've experienced. You can hire a boat to pick you up at their dock or...

We went to Xcalak with certain expectations and they were absolutely met. We wanted to get away from it all and that is exactly what we did. Bob and Caroline were amazing hosts. We had read lots of reviews about Bob's Margharita's and they lived up to their coverage. Note: do not have more than 1 ;-) It is a...

Great Place with helpful and knowlegable hosts. Our trip began in Tulum, then to Lake Bacalar and finally to Xcalak. We were pleasantly suprised with the snorkling, the quiet and beautiful surroundings and even the warm muffins and fresh fruit for our morning breakfasts. We had a fantastic view of the gorgeous water from our top floor room and in the...

What a gorgeous, well-kept paradise. Bob and Caroline are terrific folks. We wished we'd stayed longer than 3 days. The beauty of the grounds, the layout, the rooms, the view, it's all stunning. Tootsie the wonder-dog will be missed. Getting to Xcalack was not as hard as we'd feared, although it was a big drive from Cancun. It's true that...

It had been too many years since our last trip to Xcalak, and even longer since our last stay at Casa Carolina. The last couple of times we went to Xcalak were “last minute” trips, and Casa Carolina was already full by the time we tried to make reservations. We stayed other places, and they were fine, but they weren’t...

After several visits to Playa del Carmen, Akumal and Tulum we decided to spend Christmas 2011 in Xcalak. Casa Carolina came highly recommended and Caroline and Bob could not have been better hosts! The beachfront rooms are big with kitchenette, clean, and beautifully decorated…and the view is breathtaking! This is the perfect place to leave everything behind you...relax at the...

Having just returned from my first (but certainly not last) stay at Casa Carolina, I am still in a state of advanced relaxation. Perfect hosts, perfect venue, perfect relaxation. Views are fabulous, water is welcoming, rooms are beachfront and pleasant. Secluded but not isolated, great local restaurants, superb dining at Leaky Palapa. Afternoon happy hour set the tone, crashing waves...

Not only are Caroline and Bob perfect hosts that make you feel right at home in their beautifully maintained property, the location is also ideal. Far enough from Xcalak to be secluded, but close enough you can be there quickly on provided bicycles. Caroline and Bob have been very helpful sharing thier extensive knowlege of the area and making arrangements...
