WOW! best describes the Hotel Reef Resort. We had never seen this side of Yucatan, Mexico. The beach, pool, and restaurant area were well maintained. The food was great. The service was great. The vendors did not approach you but were very helpful and happy to answer questions. This excursion was definitely worth the money and time. We also questioned...

We traveled to Progreso, Yucantan in Dec 2016 as part of a Carnival New Year's cruise. Our Beach Break/Lunch excursion took us to the Hotel Reef Yucatan Resort. It took almost at least 45 minutes to get there from port, but it was the most beautiful thing we saw on the drive there. Progreso looks to be pretty run down...

We were renting a villa in Progreso and wanted to treat our son and his wife to a couple of days all inclusive so the four adults and our 18 month old granddaughter spent a couple of days at the Reef Yucatan. It is a bit off the beaten track and if you didn't know about it you would miss...

My boyfriend and I stayed here last week and we had a wonderful time! There were probably about 3 other couples in the entire resort during our stay so depending on what you're looking for that could be a pro or a con. We wanted a relaxing vacation, where all you did was sleep, go to the beach, eat and...

This was the absolute best cruise excursion I have ever taken! Our tour guide (Fluffy) met us in the lounge on the cruise ship and took us to the port of Yucatán and to the bus. The bus ride was about 40 minutes to the resort but we were entertained the whole time with Fluffy telling us about the island...

Visited resort in Feb. which is off season only 20 rooms out of 158 were in use. Nice and quiet seems like you have the whole resort to yourself. No line ups at dining room, bars , pool lounges or beach hammocks. Check in fast and efficient (Jesus and Irene). Security top notch ( Luis Cortez a man of many...

Was looking for a place to stay for two days when my other arrangements fell through. We found this place on the internet and we booked a room for the two nights. We had a Gulf View room with a king size bed. The room was very nice, nothing outstanding, but clean and nice. The pools were well maintained and...

Overnighter at this location. Clean, affordable, moderate food with primium alcohol. Hardly anyone at hotel but very enjoyable. Price was $100 per couple (USD). Staff very friendly and attentive. Would recommend if in area.

We had a great day at the beach and the pool. The drinks were a little watered down. It was a nice place to hang out for the day. It was the only place open from what I could tell. Our tour guide Alex was great.

This was our second stay. Check-in was efficient. Cons: Room was not very clean. Beds were uncomfortable. No clock or clock radio, paper coasters, bottled water, ice bucket, or ice machine except in restaurant, or coffee/tea maker. Toilettries minimal....just soap and shampoo. No conditioner or tissues. Room wasn't even dusted. Deck was never swept/swabbed. Mirrors weren't cleaned. Patio doors in...
