We where there for a few nights in New Years Eve, the place is clean and comfortable, but the service can be better. We've read that the restaurant was one of the best, but our experience was not that good. The beach in front of the hotel is pretty and quiet.

I was excited to stay in Mahahual. We had a long drive from Calakmul the day before and were really looking forward to staying on the beach. I wish we had been as excited after staying there. The good things: a lovely beachfront and nice hammocks, kayaks, bicycles. Good food. The less good things: The hotel staff never was helpful...

Hubby and I loved this intimate boutique hotel. Everyone there treated us like royalty. With only 10 room, we were assigned a superior room (#7). It was lovely, spacious and kept immaculate during our stay. The hotel restaurant was great (must do the pizza). Antonio is who I made initial contact with before I even arrived and he was KEY...

My husband and I had dinner at Luna De Plata last night. It was delicious! The toasted baguette with herb butter and habanero olive oil to start with was perfect. We both had pasta dishes which were very tasty. My husband had the crepe with Nutella for desert which was delicious! I had the something " catalana" which was heavenly!...

Excelent service and great food. Very nice place. The road is not in the best condition but the place has a great atmosphere and is far from all the crowd. The mixed carpaccio was great and they have seating for babies.

We visited Majahual in the off season while there was no cruise ship in town. Once we finally found the hotel (there isn't much in the way of signage and there are no local buses) it was lovely. There is very little English spoken here so we muddled along in our not great Spanish but it was great place to...

Based on trip advisor recommendations we chose Luna de Plata in Mahahual. It was so very bad I don't know if I can express just how bad. #1-no water pressure in bathrooms #2-no hot water #3-toilet leaking from the base=flooded floor in the bathroom. #4 Mosquitos were out of control #4-we are Americans and speak very little Spanish this led...

Good day. We are surprised with your opinion and would like to clarify some points. First of all it seems incredible to us that during the 13 nights of your stay, we did not receive from you at any time a comment about what was going on, despite our administrative and reception personnel repeatedly asking if everything was ok. If...

“I don't know of any good rooms at Luna de Plata. Initially we paid for a basic room but when the toilet started leaking we were moved to a deluxe room. Still no water pressure or hot water. The lights in the bathroom had a short or something because you never knew when you would have light. The A/C leaked into my suitcase and all of my clothes got wet. Miserable.”
