The individually owned Casitas are beautiful each in its unique way. The beach and the best snorkeling on the Mayan Riviera our feet from your front door. However this resort is not for everyone. If you'd like to get dressed up to go to dinner, if things can become too quiet and too relaxing for you, if you feel there...

The last time my wife and I stayed in Akumal was around 20 years ago in the old "casitas". The Casitas they have now are much nicer and even closer to the beach. We stayed in a two story casita. My wife and i and our 16 and 14 year old boys. The two story has an awesome floor layout...

Situated on the best bay on the Mexican Riviera Maya. The water is all shades of blue and green. The 18 units here are all within 50 feet of the bay. Snorkel and see turtles, rays and lotsa fish. Each unit is individually decorated and consists of 2 bedrooms., 2 baths and a living room/dining area / full kitchen. Nice...

The accommodations were 1st rate with everything we could want but still felt very much like a Mexican beach bungalow. You can walk down the beach for the best food.We felt like we had our own private beach just shared with a few other families that we got to know. We were a group of 5 girls who went to...

We stayed in Casita 12. Las Casitas is the best location on Akumal Bay. There is a small semi-private beach steps away from each casita. There are also lawn chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, a paddle board and security guard. The beach has the softest sand on the planet with excellent snorkeling. Las Casitas are more expensive than the condos on Half...

I recently stayed in one of the casitas on the grounds of Villa Cannon and it was perfect. The beach is glorious, the water warm, the sun always shining. The casita is literally right on the beach. The staff were excellent, rooms were kept spotlessly clean and well stocked. I appreciated the environmental awareness with regard to changing the bed...

Not easy to find at first. You have to stop with your car under the white arch for check-in. Then take back your car and drive 300 meters to find the house. They have a safe parking just behind the house. Houses are big, this is great for a family. They have no swimming pool but you are just in...

Third visit, I don't like giant all inclusive resorts and avoid Cancun. I like real Mexico a lot. Saw some previous comments about "dated" casitas, I disagree and love the "old Mexico" décor, tile the whole bit. Saw comments about security and the HOA keeping the noise level down and I think they do a great job keeping it peaceful....

It is located less than a two hour drive from cancun , allows prefect setting for kids with a private bay ....

The tennis court is available to the public for $20 an hour. It is carpet with sand and is in good condition. We drove here from Soliman Bay and it was an easy 10 minutes drive. We were the only players during holiday week so there seems not to be much demand.
