Small Hotel, but as they say, good things come in small packages , Nice bedrooms, great service, not the usual check in drill as with big chain hotels, but rather a warming welcome, we really enjoyed our 1 night stay in pochote( name of the room), Thanks.

Best way to experience Alamos and nature at the same time. Staff was very friendly! Great trails for hiking or mountain biking. Swimming pool, and really good breakfast are a plus. Maintenance and landscaping is top notch, too! Overall, a great experience. Will definitely return.

Fantastic and magical place to stay. We stayed at El Pedregal at the beginning of a 2 1/2 week birding trip to Mexico and the Cooper Canyon. Staying at El Pedregal was a highlight of our trip. Excellent room and bed, great shower, well maintained, lovely and peaceful grounds, delicious hearty breakfasts, wonderful hiking trails adjacent to the inn. Gracious...

We returned to El Pedregal after a visit two years ago and found the accommodations now include a swimming pool, a three-sided covered area providing a beautiful mountain view, where we had Thanksgiving dinner with owners Jennifer and David McKay, their family members and our friends who live in nearby Alamos. We spent much of our time with David and...

So you like to watch birds. Check. There are birds at El Pedregal that will leave you open-mouthed. This is an extraordinary place in one of the prettiest towns in Sonora. Alamos is a colonial town filled with beautiful streets, ancient homes, tours, shops, and outstanding typical street food. And El Pedregal is walking distance from it all. Beautiful cabins...

My wife and I just spent 4 nights and 5 days at El Pedregal. We were part of a birding group that spent Thanksgiving there. I have known Dave and Jennifer for several years and knew that El Pedregal would be nice, but I never expected it to be "something really special". What a place to come do whatever you...

Extremely charming place to stay in Alamos. My group stayed here as part of our birding tour. The individual adobe casitas (little cottages) are both comfortable & lovely. Each has a spacious bathroom and heat / AC. Extensively decorated with Mexican art & artifacts. The main building has the lounge & dining room. Delicious breakfast was served each day, typically...

After an easy drive from the states, we entered Alamos and at the edge of town found our way up a mystical road that was naturally landscaped and full of lots of personality. A short lane led us to the well appointed lodge where we were warmly welcomed by Jennifer and David. The grounds are beautiful, very peaceful, and relaxing....

Pretty good breakfast, we enjoy the swimming pool, good and quite place to get relaxed. No TV on the room. Small town easy to find. More options for lunch and dinner than last year. Perhaps a coffee maker will be a good plus to the rooms Town tours are good tip to know place.

What a great place to stay, especially for anyone interested in birding or other nature-based tourism in the mountains of beautiful southern Sonora! Alamos is a quaint and charming town and El Pedregal is clean, comfortable, and quiet with all the amenities (definitely not roughing it!). Jennifer and Dave not only run a great guest house but are deeply embedded...
