It's an amazing place, at night you have a fireplace at your room, it's always clean and the beds are very confortable. The best rooms are the ones at level 2 that have a beautiful view to the garden and the tree.

We stayed here for a week in November. The fireplace in the room was perfect for our cold mornings and cold evenings. I did bring a couple of extra duraflame logs and an ignitor and am glad we had these handy resources when we ran out of the firewood they brought each morning (have to ask for it). The grounds...

Mision Hotels are generally above average, and this was no exception. Nice courtyards/grounds, with the rooms far back from the street. The room was of adequate size, perhaps a tad dated, but comfy. It is not in the centro historico, but that's what we looked for as we were driving and didn't want the hassle of centro traffic and parking....

Large rooms that are very clean. Comfortable and cozy beds with decent, not too hard pillows and warm blankets. Spacious and beautifully landscaped grounds. 20 minute walk to both jardines. Great and welcoming service. Nice on site restaurant. Highly recommended.

The rooms are average, but it has a very good restaurant with one of the most surprising appetizers I have ever had: Fried guajillo chiles used as a base for a tostada of fresh cheese, acid cream, coriander, onion and manzano peppers. It has a very nice lawn for kids to play.

We stayed at the Hosteria De San Felipe (see also Hotel Mision Patzcuaro) for 3 nights in October/November 2010, during the Dia de los Muertos celebrations. We honestly were not expecting a great deal from this hotel, as the reviews on here are sparse and not that fantastic, but I think they may be old, as we absolutely loved this...

Great hotel for colonial rustic lovers, lots of wood beams, really nice & clean, good size rooms, great gardens, birds, jacuzzi and parking. We stayed 4 nights, just enough time to see most towns around Patzcuaro: Quiroga-Tzintzuntzan, Erongaricuaro, Santa Clara Cobre and Janitzio. Our only complaint would be the lack of heaters, in Nov. nights and morning temps. are in...
