We had a twin room overlooking the Square. The beds were comfortable and we had a safe for our belongings. The room had a really good shower with excellent water pressure, plenty of places to put our stuff, plenty of hot water, it was enclosed, and out of the window was a view over the rooftops up the hill. The...

When planning our trip to Patzcuaro I began to look on line for a hotel. Several things were important in choosing a hotel for the trip. Because I was bringing my adult daughters who had never been I wanted it to be in the central city so they could get a grasp of the culture and activity. For their sake...

The location of this hotel is fantastic, in the midst of Patzcuaro's restaurants and cafes. directly on the Plaza Gertrudis Bocanegra, and just a block from the larger, more tourist-oriented Plaza Vasco de Quiroga. The layout is kind of strange, though — my room was comfortable enough, but tiny, and with no windows to the outside (it had a couple...

We made a reservation at the hotel via Booking.com. On arrival, we were advised that there was a problem with the hot water supply and that rather than have disappointed guests they would make arrangments for us to stay in a nearby hotel. All of this was communicated in Spanish from their side and broken Spanish from ours. All of...

This hotel is situated right across the small plaza, and close to the public market. Rooms are small but clean. Could be noisy and you can hear people in the hallway. Ask for a room away from the stairs. Restaurant was OK. WiFi wasn't great but you're there to relax and be away from your gadgets so it might be...

As other reviews describe, this beautiful hotel has a great view of a plaza - especially form the NICE TERRACE. I enjoyed watching the sun set and the vendors close down for another day. The spotless room was nicely decorated. It had a big screen TV! The hotel staff, while not speaking English, were so helpful and friendly. My only...

Location, location, location. You simply have to stay here to being to contemplate the "scene" outside -- vendors of every order, delicious food stalls, kids running around, performances, singing, young people dolled up on the weekend...This is the heartbeat of this community. I love hotels like this. My room is much nicer than normal Mexican standards for an economic option....

I was very impressed by the quality and level of customer service they provide at an unbeatable price! Right at the heart of plaza chica. One of the three main historical plazas in Patzcuaro. The colonial architecture and the surroundings make you realize why they call Patzcuaro a Magical Town (Pueblo Magico).

For the money, this hotel is hard to beat. We paid 350mxn for a room with one full bed. The regular rate is 450mxn, so check online for deals. 450mxn would still be a great rate. The location is perfect. The room was very small, but immaculately clean. The water pressure was great, and no waiting for the hot water...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Patzcuaro, that means in Purapecha language: place where they raise and they lower the Gods, is a constructed colonial city in century XVII. It has the virtue to be near two beautiful lakes (Patzcuaro and Zirahuan) and to count on a great variety of indigenous localities with a great artisan tradition, which combines indigenous techniques and design, Spanish and even Chinese. ... more   less
