This small but quietfull hotel is located in the main Plaza of Dolores Hidalgo, every year on the 15th September night, all mexican remember that night back on 1810 when the Mexican Independence, more an Independence night than Independence Day. That night "Miguel Hidaögo y Costilla" (the priest of the church) shout out loud "Viva Mexico", and that place... was...

This time I got the next room closer to the Grito church, not the one directly over the door of the hotel but the one directly over the desk clerk's room. This room is shaped a little different, a little longer and a little more narrow. There is an armoir in this room as well, and less furniture. The bed...

The location cannot be better you are right in front of the park, the price was right and the room enough confortable for the price. It was noisy in the morning, we heard the restaurant noises and the other room's too. If you want to take lunch in the restaurant do it early as they get rid off food early...

Upon arrival, I asked for and paid for (a few days in advance) the best room they had facing the park. I had come back from a 4 month long contract and was completely worn out. The desk help tried unsuccessfully to sell me a room and food package for nearly 70% more but I said "I know some good...

Our room was on the Guanajuato Street side. There is a club on that road that on Saturday Night is super loud. The locals don't seem to go to bed either and drive down that street until 3am or worse. Then at 6am the Cathedral in the square will start the church bells a ringing. Our room got no air...

Hotel was nice, staff helpful and some nice touches. However the bedroom floors are tiled and when getting out of the shower the floor can be VERY slippery. My husband fell on the steps out of bathroom and very lucky not to break something. If you are overlooking the square be prepared for noise! We had the local hot rod fiesta...

The hotel is in a great central location in this wonderful town but get earplugs the church bells ring all night. The staff was quite helpful and very accomodatiing. Didn't get good internet reception in the room but in the central dining room area it was fine.

We normally stay in little B & B's or off the beaten path posadas but we'll make this exception. This hotel was very clean, quiet, friendly, and well appointed; especially for this price. Not much English spoken here but, like anywhere else, we managed fine with what little Spanish I've managed to learn. We liked Dolores and this hotel so...

Beautiful hotel right on the central square or plaza. Plaza is a grassy park with benches. Around the corner on the square is the church. We enjoyed this hotel and this small city. While were there in June, there was an ice cream festival. There were many booths set up along the side of the square where you could sample...

“Ask in advance, for a park-side room, get the one directly above the front desk if you can. The view of the famed La Patria church is very clear, and right in front of you, literally. (Use google street view to confirm this.)”
