We stayed in this hotel just for one night before leaving Mexico and had a very bad experience. We had first to move from the rooms that were given to us initially as they were full of mosquitos and dirty. The sheets on the beds were not clean with stains of blood probably coming from dead mosquitos. The rooms we...

Pleasant little hotel. Good base for the canyon and Tuxtla. No English spoken but service good. Nice little restaurant fir breakfast and we had a dinner on our first night.....no complaints. For the price it was extremely good. Taxi to Tuxtla 130 and from the airport 390 pesos.

This Hotel is close to the River and Malecon and Main Plaza. No more than a 5 minute walk. I was taken back by the Lush Tropical Gardens and Pool area's. I had thought for a minute I was in Hawaii. The hotel room was clean and bigger than most U.S. Hotel rooms. It has a multiple of TV Channels...

I stayed at La Ceiba for ten nights during the time I was there for La Fiesta Grande de Enero. I booked my reservation last May. I was required to send them a wire transfer for half of the amount in order to make my reservation. I don't see that anyone else who has written a review on TripAdvisor had...

We were there during a major festival. The hotel is an easy walk to the square, and is above average for a hotel of that price in Mexico. If you speak no Spanish whatsoever you might have a hard time here. Staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds are like a beautiful botanical garden and are a great place to...

Beautiful garden courtyard, nice pool, good restaurant, clean rooms with good bathroom and front balcony seating outside room. Short walk to town square and attractions. Super friendly people, moderate noise levels during festival. Good ac, good shower, comfortable beds, mostly double twins. Newer addition in back, nicer than smaller rooms in the old part of the hotel.

Best: the location (three blocks away from river and Sumidero pier) and downtown. Seems to best the best in the small town. Feels your are in the jungle because there's a lot of vegetation and plants. Worst: expensive and cold water. Unable to take a hot shower.

Decided to stay in Chiapa de Corzo on our way to San Cristobal to get easy access to the Canyon boat tour on our own. Good choice. Room basic but clean, good linens, decent firm bed, air conditioining works and was quiet, shower took time for the hot water to arrive. Room includes bottled water daily. Free Wi-Fi OK from...

My husband and I aspired to create a vacation that included more than typical U.S. tourist destinations. Chapa de Corzo is just such a place. Although buses are available, we took a taxi from San Cristobel de las Casas because it enabled us to make better use of the day. La Ceiba is close to the Sumidero Canyon/ Grijalva River....
