Stayed for a week at Nueva Posada and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was very spacious with a large bathroom.Lot's of hot water in the roomy shower. Maid service was excellent and prompt. Restaurant staff was very attentive and breakfast was tasty with several great options. Located directly on Lake Chapala and within walking distance to the Malecon and the... More

We stayed at the Posada for 9 nights this month. We were very happy that we chose to stay here. Our room was on the second floor with a view of the pool. I am thinking that this room (115) is one that they haven't renovated yet because it still has carpeting. The room was a nice size, especially for... More

This was a lovely colonial style hotel in a very convenient location to restaurants and shops. All employees were helpful and the owners were informative and very gracious. We had a delicious complementary breakfast every morning. Private secure parking for our car. Rooms were very c!Dan with the exception of a slight bit of mold in the shower stall. We would... More

I went with my family to Ajijic, Jalisco, last July between 26 and 29, and I could say IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE!, At the first sight the hotel looks like old fashioned, but,.....when we met the town, I could understand why the hotel hadn't been updated,..... All Ajijic town is quiet and colony town, many houses are old fashioned,... More

Despite a reservation mishap (multiple sources at fault) and a late arrival, luckily we were able to secure a room on a Friday night. And after two nights we were moved to our intended floor facing the lake. And the housekeeping staff moved us while we were out! Not once, but twice, because we had to move again on the... More

We are two retired Canadians who spent two(2) months (January to March 2016) in a room facing the pool at La Nueva Posada. We really enjoyed our stay and met several interesting people, including the owner and his nice family. Most of what you read in the herewtih reviews is true and, depending of your level of expectations, you can... More

We stayed here for a week in June 2016. We liked the location on the lake, you can walk a few feet and be on the path along the lake. We stayed in room 301; book it if you can, it's easily the best room in the hotel, with a great view of the lake. The hotel itself is suffering... More

My wife & I stayed here for 4 nights, and really enjoyed our experience. It is a lovely colonial style hotel with very good food and service. A full breakfast is included, which features lots of excellent selections. My favorites were the Chilaquillas with chicken and French toast. And for dessert after lunch or dinner, you must try the mango... More

Our room was very comfortable with a great view of Lake Chappala. Breakfast was included and we tried almost everything on the menu, we were not disappointed. The staff was first rate and friendly. The restaurant is so good, it attracts local expats. The owner was very helpful answering all of our questions about the area we will definitely return.

This is my second stay at La Nueva Posada. This time I stayed 20 glorious days! This hotel actually first opened in 1990. There are 19 suites and 9 villas. This hacienda style hotel exudes old world colonial charm while offering all of the modern services. The grand staircase at the entrance is simply breathtaking, and the lobby is tastefully... More
